Lost Ark works fine, I don't see why it would be different for T&L. The only thing I'm surprised about is that T&L seems to be a direct concurrent to their own New World MMO.
That's good news to me though. Looking forward to trying that game.

Lost Ark has been a major success from a publisher point of view. The issues encountered have been, at the root source, related to the developer, not the publisher. AGS has yet to have an outage like all the other western publishers did multiple times. They are quite likley the best publisher in the west at the present time.
T&L won't be a direct competitor to New World given it is a tab target MMO with a completely different look and feel. Same with Blue Protocol and Lost Ark.
Ugh. I don’t like when western publishers put out eastern MMOs anymore. There’s always problems and you have to bring it back to the devs in Korea and the whole thing takes months to get the smallest issues fixed.

Literally sometimes community not allowing to be satisfied is the only issue with this genre. ^^

They will make 3x on T&L - than what they did with NW, so why not? NW is in a failed state and can barely keep 20k konkurrent players.

No matter what you're thinking of the game, I don't think they've lost any cent on New World. They sold millions, AND they are tons of people running around with cash shop skins. Yeah, it's not a thundering success, and for good reasons, but it's not a failure either. (unless the continue with lame updates like the actual one).

I think some people would be fine with Amazon, but they have had a poor track record with managing bots and exploits in their current games. It exists in lots of games, but some of the exploits I've seen in NW and the amount of bots in LA has been a major hindrance to people. Lets hope this game is managed better and it doesn't turn into a shit show.

well in this topic it says "An action combat MMORPG", but yeah with what they have shown i also think it is tab target

Seems similar enough to me.
Weapon is your class, in combat weapon switching, limited action bars, focus on large scale PvP.
The broad similarities will matter more than the narrow differences.
It will likely come down to the PvP. If T&Ls large scale PvP works well then NW is a dead game. People that prefer action combat wont care about the tab target combat is everything else is so much better.
Well guess I will wait to see how Amazon does this. Lost Ark and its monetization has been a mess. This game has just become a wait and see what happens before I give even one reed cent.

I don't agree it comes down to the PvP, at least not only.
There has been no mention of gathering/crafting in T&L so far.
Those elements in NW are just awesomely well done compared to many other games, there are few games with such immersive gathering for instance.
We don't even know if there's any crafting in T&L... or if you have info I missed, you're welcome to share.

Management of bots is more a responsibility of the developers rather than publishers as it all starts with the game design.
Lost Ark is a botters paradise based largely on certain design decisions, i.e. F2P, not really under AGS control.

Though to be clear, I'm not one of them. I really liked Uncharted Waters Online.

As far as Lost Ark goes to an extent yeah, but Amazon as a publisher manages this product as live service. It's up to them to offer support and work closely with the developers and manage expectations better to get these types of issues ironed out. Regardless of who coded it, the buck stops at Amazon as publisher when it comes to Western support.

Visually? Looks pretty good, imo.
But what immediately lost my interest was the UI for the active skills.
Only a measly 4 active skills to play with at a time? Nope. Fuck off with that repetitive bullshit.
