At GDC 2023, Gylee Games gave a first look at their upcoming, co-op beat 'em up title, Ra Ra Boom. The colorful and vibrant beat 'em up sees four ninja cheerleaders take on a rampaging rogue AI - so nothing could go wrong, right? Here are our thoughts from the GDC presentation.

    I love beat-em-ups.
    The premise of this game is cool and unique.
    One of those statements is false.

    Still, could be a bunch of fun.

    I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil

    A game where the selling point is dazzlehappy.  It reminds me of the days when I loaded customizable screen savers, just on the dazzlehappiness factor.  The actual game reminded me of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game, especially the movement.  That may not be an actual bad thing.

    The character on the lower right in the last picture looks like a cheerleader to me, though I'm not seeing much in the way of ninja.
