What I Wish Happened In The Guild Wars 2 Balance Patch Preview | MMORPG.com
While the Balance in Guild Wars 2 has gotten better and better over the years, Lowry still has some things he'd like to see come to be in Guild Wars 2.
I'm sorry I don't agree with Scrapper. As a Scrapper main I don't want to be another 40k dps class in exchange of removing utilities. There's already Holosmith for this and if anything they should receive all the love in that department. Don't get me wrong I love the Scrapper dps buffs it has gotten in the previous patches but I think we need more utility. If anything I would reduce the dps a little bit in exchange of getting more utility. Give it another stab source or a pull and the class would be perfect for me
i will be blunt , remove alacrity , lower Cds accordinly
gw2 is a game of stacking buffs , and its tiresome after so many expansions...
why we gotta stack might until X stacks? why not balance it around 1 stack....
same goes for pvp , u stack buff up to hell and steamroll , boooooooring
This has bounced me off each time. The way combat abilities synergize is incredibly unintuitive to a new player.
Even after having leveled an Elementalist to max back when Path of Fire was the current expac, trying to find a class and set of weapons that synergize well is confusing as hell today.
I wish they'd skip this one and actually take a long hard look at their game, their end-game meta, their actual combat balance as a whole, and redesigned the way players build their characters.
I wish they'd accept the cold hard truth that the game does have a trinity, it's just a different one. That Quickness and Alacrity were cooldowns, not possible to keep up 100% of the time. That every profession can "tank/heal" and every profession can provide x seconds of Alac/Quick every x seconds.
The crazy thing is is that they don't even need to rebalance their raid encounters for that. They're already clearable without 100% uptime. Bridge the insane gap between inexperienced clears and speed clears, which is quite substantial, because their classes are so poorly designed and easy to exploit.
But, nah, it's ArenaNet, they'll give some bs buff to this and that and add more professions to fill in mandatory roles which they refuse to fully acknowledge.
