Earlier this morning, Kickstarter MMO Magic to Master was found to be using fake testimonial reviews by many sites on their funding page for the MMO, including a fake review attributed to MMORPG.com.

    Testing purposes they made public? lmao such lies. Really the scam games things is getting old. KS and all CS sites should just ban all software, plain and simple.

    They should have just said what they are doing: trying to resurrect an old game that never made it. They might have tapped into some support.

    Instead, it appears they just tried to put makeup on the pig.

    Well , you know the sayings. This scams wouldn't exist if people would just .. have a little bit of common sense before supporting ( donating ) to this scam projects.

    Oh well. Nothing new here. Magic to Master, Starcitizen .. same old schema.

    Worse than that. They quite literally published FAKE reviews from places like MMORPG , MASSIVELYOP and others on their Kickstarter.

    It that doesn't get their Kickstarter closed immediately then Kickstarter really has no hope.

    Lots of Kickstarter games and projects are fine. The vast majority of them. The biggest culprit seems to be MMORPGs. Not entirely sure why other than the complexity of them.

    Ummm they just got caught, this is an industry standard. If a product in on the web, it most likely has fake reviews. There are some "safe spaces" like Steam that only lets people who bought the product from Steam review it but even then...

    That did pass through my mind, but adbots go for optimism and avoid negativity, this seems a tad too negative? But maybe it is an adbot, they are just getting too clever.

    Maybe the bigger story is the bots. Perhaps there was no actual  human behind this project on kickstarter at all, but an AI bot. Now it's sending it's army in to the forums. xD

    I just watched one of their very horrible trailers on steam. At one point the game play was recorded IN their engine program itself.

    For real I laughed for about 5 minutes trying to figure out the tone of that.

    Was that an exasperated excuse me? an apologetic excuse me, or a passive aggressive excuse me?

    Do people normally say excuse me when stealing something and getting caught? I don't know that's new to me.

    Was he blaming Joseph for it being there? The response was strange. Why not just say I'm sorry? lol


    Even the discussions on their steam page are fake.

    This is definitely a game to watch.  In the sense of point and laugh at it.  I don't think we've seen a prospective MMORPG be this creatively ridiculous since Stargate Worlds.
