Star Citizen will never be a playable game. Not in any of our lifetimes. At best it'll be a half baked simulator with very niche audiences around the world and the hardware specs to actually run it.

Unfortunately, that 'Skill Issue' applies to the boss dogs of CIG.

Never released a game outside of Origin Systems, low these nearly 30 years.

If they'd learned from their mistakes, that'd be different.

It is nice that they do the Free Fly though, and their marketing is stellar!

+500.000 NEW backers just in 2022. Devs do release salaries, all cash is going into development contrary to Publishers.

"about SF is the graveyard of SC"

In your dream only. SF is just a fork of Fallout 4 with space-ish assets. Ships fight is 2 decades old, same missions than F4, fake landing and take off, limited area per planets. The hype is going to go down rapidly while SC keep adding more gameplay and the last key core tech Server meshing next year. SF is a perfect teaser to join SC for those waiting to get it out of alpha state :)

Its apparantly playable, not much of a game outside of how much money can people flush down the toilet though.

Its a case study in cynicism as Roberts has realised that trading on peoples hopes and dreams can be a massive cash grab for him and his family far in excess of actually making a game, and it comes with a side order of sunken cost fallacy.

What if they were injecting foreign money for laundering purposes into the game in the guise of "new backers", and there wasn't really any "new backers"? Just more money that looks like a backer. I mean the population and actual real hype outside of the normal channels would kind of reflect that, no? The way these guys talk about it you would think they sold more copies and have more hype and players than Diablo 4 or WoW ever had.

It's funny how these fans like to say it's like SWG yet none of them played SWG back in the day. None of the folks I know from my old server are even remotely  interested in this.

I tried this for about the tenth time. Its still a buggy mess, still runs like poo. It will never release in any meaningful way...what a waste of money.

Good thing for Chris that he has Sandi to do the PR for the company and not you.

Sandi left long time ago but Star Citizen features and graphics are so ahead of every other space games that it sells itself without a problem. B)
