A new interview from Gamescom sheds some light on some of Amazon's plans for its release of NCSoft's Throne and Liberty. Topics covered include PvP, concerns over autoplay, monetization, combat, and possible console release.

Why? These games are full of bots, now you can be a Bot, its a selling point.
"The Western edition will also turn off free PvP at night in the world", so presumably you have to pay for PvP to me turned of in the day? Of course you do, can we also be charged for using a keyboard and mouse next, or even better using a monitor? FFS.

(In einem koreanischen Interview hieß es, dass es während des Nacht-Zyklus PvP ohne Restriktionen und Karma-System geben wird.)
But in the western version that is disabled, however there are certain PVP dungeons open at night
(Auch das soll es in unserer Version nicht geben. Allerdings werden bestimmte Dungeons nur nachts geöffnet, in denen wiederum PvP herrscht.)
The zones are PVE zones but each zone has a keep that you can siege and every 2 to 3 days the zone becomes fully PVP enabled. Players are told in advance.
So it looks like there is no open free for all PVP but rather zones will become PVP enabled on a rotation, and will be focused on capturing outposts. Plus dungeons are PVP enabled

This means you will have to grind monsters 15 hours a day to be competitive for pvp.
And this also means people will just make 3rd party programs to bot.
Once again Amazon has listened to "feedback" and is changing core elements of a game because of it.
I must admit that even though I despise auto play the fact that the game was designed with auto play in mind, removing it might cause some problems if exp rates aren't adjusted.
Same with all the pvp restrictions. I don't know, to me it seems like they listen to the wrong feedback changing stuff that is to deeply rooted in the games design while at the same time not adressing the games most glaring problem that is the atrocious combat.
So, essentially, Lineage 2.

It’ll be worse, I loved Lineage 2 - reading this somehow they only have 1 castle? Lineage 2 had many (and definitely needed for the amount of guilds and power control). The whole PVP system seems uncertain as well. After so many years, this is ridiculous.

Honestly, I would love for this to be a Lineage 2 clone, with better graphics. I played Lineage and Lineage 2 for many years... Lineage 1 being the first MMO I played way back in 1998. NCSoft even sent me a Lineage t shirt in the mail along with a disc to install the game. Wish I still had that t shirt.
However, I'm not a young man anymore. I can't grind for 24 hours a day anymore. I was actually looking forward to that auto play in T&L.
I thought the same thing about 1 castle. It's going to limit pvp to just 1 big shit show every 2 weeks. In Lineage 2 it was several castles, with several clans and alliances, which really setup for great politics (help us take this castle and we'll help you defend yours, type of stuff). Maybe they'll add more territories with content updates, adding more towns and castles.
I just wish they would remaster Lineage 2 with Unreal 5. Would truly be amazing.
Not for me it isn't. I loved Lineage 2.

Yes it does. But for a long time it didn't. Many people just used 3rd party programs to bot before it was added into the game.
Examples with made up numbers: leveling takes 5x more time to account for people autoing it, drop rates are 10x less due to autoing, etc. Combat is static to allow it to be autoed, etc.
