    I hardly ever see someone using a kickscooter wearing a helmet in London, not that it is a big city or anything.

    For real, the town I live in instituted paid parking recently, which I refuse to pay for, so a scooter might actually help stick it to the man.

    But the real test is, can you attempt to do a sick kick flip and the bar swings around and bangs your shin and your mom tells you to stop riding your scooter before you break something.
    Not that I am speaking from experience.

    I do most of my commuting on a Kickbike.

    Speed on flat asphalt in good conditions: about 20 kph
    Average speed during actual trips: up to 15 kph

    It's got large enough tires that unlike e-scooter I can ride over any curb, weights about 10 kg, and it's always both slower and more physically demanding than riding a bike would be. I like driving it, and it's really good exercise.

    We do away with these spammers all the time. They're currently making it through the filter so we're picking them off one by one until they're automatically caught.

    My son recently bought one of these Ninebots after getting sick of the rip off city rent-a-scooters. He probably spent as much as he paid renting them before buying one of his own. He keeps it in his trunk for breakout rides with friends.

    I see these (not this specific branch) all the time where I live which is a suburb. Lots of people ride them at the park and kids use them to commute to school. Costs the same as a decent bicycle. Still I worry about the tiny wheels hanging up on something like a twig or small stone and sending you tumbling head over heals at max speed which would not be a very fun spill. Looks fun to ride. I'll stick to my bicycle and burn some calories, though, and not worry about needing to charge it up.

    Oh yeah, unless you have good suspension on some of those faster ones, prepare for that eventual day you eat shit on a bumpy sidewalk.
