After what they did to City of Heroes and Wildstar, I'm out of trust for the company.

Here's a gameplay preview of how it should look now. Not gonna lie, it looks quite promising. If they remove all these auto's and make the gameplay loop somewhat enjoyable with a purpose to actually play it beside daily rewards and meaningless grind, I'd love to hop in to another MMO.
3 years of mmo-hiatus after ditching GW2 made me a bit hungry for some fresh worlds to explore. Either this or NW after the expansion lands to fill the void.

Yeah the changes to allow dynamic combat where you move and not just have most skills locking you in place, where you are also being attacked, is a good change. It feels awful on a current game to look at yourself being hitted by an enemy and just casting spells, the ability to dodge and such fluidly is king there.

The removal of autoplay options on PC at least is an unexpected but welcome change.

Ok. Let's hope for the best.

Players are not gonna fall for empty promises anymore. They got my attention for a split second, they better not waste the chance they have to make things better

Movement while using skills is an improvement. So thats 1 of a couple dozen things asked to be fixed by the community. I still want to see the masses getting their hands on it and seeing what get flushed out. I want to see the updated stuff and the bad.

Yeah, thankfully I'm very cautious about this game. Not riding any hype train, since there's literally too many cool singleplayer games on the horizon right now to be bothered with another doubtful f2p MMO :)

NCsoft, do NOT take the Auto-Hunt out of T&L.

Combat was one big part, but the bigger part imo is the progression and how grindy people were complaining the korean beta was. Lost Ark is a prime example that not even excellent combat can save a game if the progression is garbage.

Why are people acting like that short little clip proves anything is actually better? Look at the gameplay videos before Beta, they looked cool as well.

Until they show off actual gameplay, with the HUD, so we can see how things are being moved and clicked, I am going to be very skeptical.

"In removing some auto play systems, they knew they had to add more content. So they've increased rewards for certain activities and zones, are in the process of adding more non-hunting mission options and dungeons. "

so what content they had on mind ? just grinding mobs on auto hunt? this a mmorpg in 2023+ era ? grinding mobs

smells like a disaster from afar

Noooooo. Slow progress is not bad as long as it's meaningful.

Taking time to build a character creates investment in the character and the community.

And yes, remove all auto. I am not a bot, I am player.

My bet is that removing the auto-combat will just further highlight how shallow and meaningless that aspect of the game is, because these games tend to lean towards some mechanic or feature that can be hyper-monetized.

We already have a good handful of examples of cross-platform games of this nature to look back on; so i don't know how people do not see the writing on the wall at this point.

Game is still going to be a junk heap when it releases. Any game having to make that many changes in that short of amount of time, nah.
