    Game was always going to be f2p. You are paying for EA. The title sounds like they are changing their plan and they are not. Its EA not released. Wayfinder IS a f2p.

    Technically wayfinder is not a f2p or else you could play it for free and currently you cannot. 

    EA is just marketing for launching an unfinished game.
