All these companies like Amazon pulling higher end jobs in the US and sending them to India and the Philippines for cheaper labor should be penalized.

Not trying to be a smart ass but are QA and customer service departments really classified as higher end jobs?

Aren't we talking about "developer" jobs being outsourced abroad? That's what the article suggested.

"GI.biz reports that this is due to Amazon relying more on outsourcing to other vendors for this service rather than handling it in-house."

Everyone is cutting down on Quality Assurance costs, as buggy, unfinished games is becoming the standard.

Having Deja Vu here, or flashbacks to the 70's.

First start with an unpopular war, throw in a bunch of government assistance programs paid for by government's printing money, which triggers high inflation, scaring investors which causes a bear market, scaring employers who cut back or slow down on hiring, workers start going on strike which reduces consumer spending and saving, triggering a recession or even depression.

It's almost as if that business cycle that I was taught when I was an Econ Major in University might actually be real?

    Weird ;)

Try project and product management, engineering, IT jobs. Many large companies are outsourcing those jobs or creating what they call "strategic locations" now and are offering severances to employees of 20+ years. I have first hand knowledge of this. In some cases move and keep your job, or take a severance. A lot of offerings in India, but they are reducing footprints in the US and selling off physical assets such as buildings, and reducing remote work for folks in the US as well. It's not just QA and customer service like it was 10 years ago.
