Their new program gives 100% of profit if you choose 6 months exclusive. It's possible they're not paying anything.

had hopes for this ........until i watched the video and then actually realized that ....... online co-op for to 8 players ...... and you basically do nothing but hit rocks craft some armor and fight some mobs in a mountain ....... yea , so not sure what their refund process is on Epic but you can best believe if it was on Steam, within that 2 hr period or whatever it is , thats what would be happening with Negative reviews , but of course i'm still going to waste my money and play this because ........ what else is really out there that isn't rinse and repeat , anyway hope Lotr theme add's some value to it , but wish they would have put more effort into something with that franchise involved .

If it was something of note we'd be having all sorts of advertisement leading up to this October 24th launch.

But I haven't seen a thing until this. Maybe the initial announcement.

I could be very long but when people talk of cash grabs then I would think THIS is a cash grab.

Yeah, I love the concept for this as a LOTR fan. My son and I are both big LOTR fans and he plays Minecraft so figured this might be something we could play together. But I've seen and heard barely anything about this game. Info is pretty sparse. Definitely wait and see for me. The fact it isn't even on Steam is pretty sus to me.

The idea of this game seems alluring. Playing in the Mines of Moria should be epic.

Whelp I would have played it but sadly anything that goes epic exclusive even for 6 months or a year, I consciously NEVER buy. You make the choice to purposely avoid steam because epic bribed you, I hope it was worth it because my money you will never have. Not everyone is like me, but I know many who are.

I'm sort of burnt out on Lord of the Rings, Marvel, DC, and Star Wars. This doesn't grab me, but if it ever comes to Xbox and if it offers a free trial or a stint on GamePass, then I'll check it out.

Also, not launching across platforms and store fronts for a title like this makes my spidey sense tingle.

I liked the look of what I saw in the video, but survival does not tend to be my gig. Its a co-op though, not a MMO.

Diane, if that is your real name is that $8,750 US or some foreign currency? Because anything other than the US dollar is less.

And your long time neighbor who estimated $15k. What time frame are we talking? A coon's age? A dog's life? 3 dogs and a cat?

20 hours a day for 7 days for $15k seems like a bit on the nose doesn't it?

If I had a nose though, it would probably smell a little fishy.

LOTRO's Mines of Moria expansion was the best dlc I ever played from any game, so this peaked my interest.

Does this game have classes/skill trees or anything so you can try to play it in different ways with different builds?

First heard about this game sometime last year. The trailer that was put out a year ago got me a lot more excited than this release trailer. But I’m very wary about it now. Especially after that disaster of a game about Gollum that released earlier this year.

For now, that is before the industry brings in the Platinum version and then the Diamond version just to confuse punters.
