V Rising's Latest Update Unveils Menacing New Foes to Sink Your Teeth Into | MMORPG.com
Vampire Survival ARPG V Rising, developed by Stunlock Studios, has announced an upcoming major patch that promises to enrich the game's intricate landscape.
Thank you all the players who play tested a below par version of the game I am thinking of getting next year.
Sometimes those earlier "sub par" versions are very cool and offer game play or aspects that you won't see in the later, more polished and marketable version. There are tradeoffs to opting in early and it isn't always bad. It depends on what you're looking for and expectations.
I would still recommend playing a trial, demo, or free weekend before jumping in even though I think this is a really cool take on the genre and setting.

I don't agree with playing something early just because there might be something different in the gameplay. Have patience.
However, I am shifting to the idea that a trial or demo may be the way to go before a purchase now. Two games played this year have been uninstalled after a days play, despite all my efforts and the methodology I have to ensure I will love a new game. A methodology which is clearly flawed, a demo may be the only way forward if I have any doubts.
Not sure why people dunk on this game here. I played solo for some time and thought it was pretty decent. Played on a pretty friendly server where I didn't have to worry about getting raided so I got to build up my base pretty nicely until that particular server went down. Didn't encounter any bugs that I can think of at the moment.

Yeah I think its a great game. Dont know about this new content as I havent played for awhile, but when I played it, the quality was high even in early access.
Steam has it at 87% positive, seems like it should be higher in low 90's IMO.
The bad reviews seems to be around not having a pause feature in solo play. I actually agree they should put that in.
Other bad reviews are saying the game is too hard. Dont understand this when you can just lower the difficulty. I guess there is 5% of the people that want EZ mode without changing the difficulty LOL. Devs cant fix lazy people.

Most games become easier as they get closer to release. Although they are adding more content they are changing the game difficulty to EZ mode.
I cant think of a single game where the game got significantly harder after release.

So there are definitely trade offs.
Games go through evolutionary phases as systems are added or evolve. Some of those early stages are awesome and the community dynamic is memorable. Sometimes less polished is more engaging. The community will invent stop gap solutions for systems that haven't yet been added, and I like that.
To some people, that might be "sub par". To me, those are like playing another version of the game. They offer some unique interesting experiences that will only be around for so long, until updates make changes and add things.
I get enjoyment out of that. And I rarely ever recommend people buy into early access titles. In fact, I say anyone even slightly hesitant should hold off. Only do it if you don't care about throwing away the entry fee. My personal cap at "early access" is around $25 - $30. I prefer to play them on GamePass though.

If you enjoy it guys, do it. I am not belittling your enjoyment or even advising others not to do so. I just know I would not be happy with playing like that, each to their own. I take the easy mode comment to heart, that's something we have seen gaming drift to for over twenty years. But I can usually set the difficulty higher or the like, if it is a MMO mind you I accept that we have to play as "they make it".
You mentioned the Game Pass, I have two three month passes I have not used. Just not touching them until I can get my "bought and not played" games down.

Indeed! After such a long stint in EA, I expect the end result to be nothing short of AAA polished gem quality.
