The current landscape of this topic alone is probably why we'll never get a FFXIV x World of Warcraft collab.
So I'm not sure Blizzard would ever collaborate with an MMO from a different publisher. Well not while they were under Activision. But I'm not sure what collaboration you are hoping for.
They did include a small quest chain that recreated Plants vs. Zombies and even had access to that games source to make it easier.
