Since when extra stash is P2W ?!?

Yes, first one can be added in the P2W category ..but stash? You guys ....

Also its a survey. I am sure they will not added it.

The moment they cross this line, I will be the first to /quit D4.

That sounds like pre-order bonuses and stash space. I am not sure what makes it pay to win.

A desperate need for low quality click engagement by various gaming sites?

Everyone seems to think now that you buy anything it's consider P2W. Oh your buying the whole game instead of waiting for the game to go F2P... oh well that P2W.

The one that annoys me is the possibility of stash space being sold in a purchased game. It has genuine ongoing value to the play of the game and should be equally accessible to everyone that bought it.

Agreed, so let's start the backlash campaign for 95% of the MMOs that already do this and have been for over a decade. They are the biggest offenders. That isn't to say we have to give Blizzard a stamp of approval for this, but lets put it in context and first deal with the sweethearts that have long been getting a pass for this.

I bet a lot of posters who are happy to take Blizzard to task for this, are less excited about putting the same heat to the feet of their favorite MMOs.

So my take from all of this is:

    1. the prices are crazy for the expansion to a game that most feel is lacking
    2. they created a problem of not enough stash, namely due to requiring stash space for every legendary you may need.  Why not just let players store a separate compendium of aspects?
    3. Selling an in game item before it's actual release is certainly Pay for Power and could be P2W depending on it's power.
    4. Early access is distasteful but people have accepted it as the norm now apparently.  Even in a game built around leveling, hunting for loot, and in season 3 getting on leaderboards.  so bye bye races if you don't preorder.
At this point I've seen enough from Blizzard to know not to buy the base game even at a high discount.  2024 is the year of Last Epoch and POE2(at least beta).

The early access to a legendary or aspect before release.  It's certainly pay for power and could be pay to win if it's BiS.

You may grant passes for this. I have not save for f2p games such as Path of Exile where I consider buying adequate storage part of the true cost of the 'free' game.

ESO does sell bank space in the game shop. You can instead buy it with gold earned in play. I'm fine with that as it is an optional cash purchase I can easily and do avoid.

    1) Presumably anyone buying the expansion would not feel the game lacking.

    2) Aspects can be removed from items and stored for later use for application to other items. There is also a compendium of aspects but those are less powerful than the same ones found on items, and some expects can only be found on items.

    3) Maybe. It depends on the details.

    4) Enough people have accepted early access so that it won't be going away. The playing field was never level to begin with though as those with more abundant free time are also comparatively advantaged.

Anyway, enjoy your preferred alternatives. Happily there are abundant options available for the genre.
