You may well be able to earn money without putting in a stake, but as you play you will realise there are many advantages to putting money in, so you can get more money out. This never ends as you will funnel what your have earned back into the game or pay with you own money.
It has a Gacha system and a battle pass system already, if that doesn't point to how there is no such thing as a sure fire get rich quick scheme, I don't know what does.

Game is as generic cookie cutter gacha game as you can get. Everything from the arbitrary buildings to upgrade that serve no purpose but to make you spend time waiting around for things to upgrade instead of just being able to gather resources and do it in one setting if you want; to the absolutely abhorrent gacha system that the cheapest and stingiest one has. Oh, and of course an afk and auto battling campaign that make you realize there's really no game for you to play. They have the shard system; because of course. Why wouldn't you? You either earn shards, or if you're really, really lucky...you get the character. If you keep getting shards; for an SS character you need one hundred. You get one. One hundred pulls to 'pity,' getting an SS character; as long as you get the pity shards to begin with because they are also part of the gacha system.
There is loading. For literally, everything. It's a twelve second load, just to return to the village hub from closing your hospital menu. A twelve second load to go to the campaigns. To open the inn menu. To close the inn menu. In a given hour, you will spend at least 15% of it, just loading arbitrarily.
There's no dedicated event page. Yeah, clicking on event notifications doesn't take you to an event page to see whats going on. It just tries to auto join you to their discord. Classy.
And finally, the pay-to-earn/blockchain part. They have three currencies. There's honor, the currency you earn in game. UTM, the currency they have to buy their NFTs and all that, and then COVN, their actual coin that you can withdraw into your local currency. I have yet to see anything that I can earn honor from; but apparently when I do, converting it to UTM requires a MATIC gas fee each time. UTM, the 'money,' you'll see the most of in game since it's required for all the blockchain stuff, requires an ETH gas fee to convert into COVN to withdraw. A COVN coin is currently $0.78 USD. The conversation rate from UTM to COVN is 100:1. A 'SS' character on the marketplace is approximately 12,000 UTM before fees, or $93.60 USD before all the gas prices come into value. If you look at the trade history on their marketplace...Nobody has bought anything. At all, quite literally nothing. So for all the 'players,' they have; nobody has actually had an interest in buying their 'premium,' NFTs. (The kicker is on OpenSea, they originally valued their NFTs at 3 MATIC, or $2.58 USD when they minted them five months ago. Wild.)
In short, this game is your generic NFT grifting that has zero actual traction, and zero actual value that contributes to the gaming industry as a whole or even an average saturday afternoon. Completely worthless.
