Something people don't mention about bg3 is it's a generational bridge. All games descend from dnd but many of us are unaware how to play. I'm old as dirt but I missed out on those geek groups. Real life was calling back then. So even I don't know how to play dnd. I bought dice but never got a group. Watched some youtubers but it's not my thing to spectate, I'll just run off and lift weights rather be bored without benefit. Now playing BG3 I'm slowly learning. Still dumb as a box rocks about most of it.
Then there's the whole bit where the devs are all proud of themselves for including beastiality with a bear like they're accomplishing something with that other than declaring publicly they're a bunch of sick fucks. Beastiality is illegal in most countries for a reason.
OMG Lighten up Francis!
You must be hellah fun at parties.
Or maybe unlike most people the poster still has a working moral compas.
Literally the reason I put this game on my ignore list in steam.

Also, sex in video games is dumb AF.
Moral Compass huh? I find it hard to buy that explanation in a game where you can be extremely evil and kill all sorts of people.
But I'm sure that was the real reason you both avoided the game and the "bear joke" was just the nail in the coffin allowing you to put on your hair shirts and atone for even considering such a game.

I thought the game was ok. Not game of the year or anything but it was ok. Kind of fell apart in the third act. Brought the experience down for me.
Didn’t even they change some of that or was it just certain quests?
Yeah I read they updated it and added or something but I really did not enjoy the game enough to go all the way back through it on another play through. It was ok for what it was but I played better RPGs this year (for me) and I don't have the bandwidth to replay it again just to experience whatever they may or may not have changed in the last third of the game.

What were some of the rpg’s you thought were really good? Might as well share!

I'm okay with bg3 being game of the year. It had a bit of everything. They're updating still. I suppose it's about where you think a game's focus should be. I'm about did you plz the majority audiences. Every game has a single niche they exploit but bg3 hit many niches all wrapped in one container. I've not run into any bug glitches yet myself.
Have it. Will try it down the line. Just to scratch the DnD itch. Not a fan of 5 edition though. Although vastly better then 4 edition rules set. 3.5 was my preferred edition. Have some 15-20 years exp with pen and paper DnD. Mostly as DM. Good times. Now Im just old and sick and grumpy.
I am a scizo misanthrope. So one day I may go BANZAI on your post. Have not yet though. Maybe there is hope? Nah there is really none for me or the human race.

Wow you guys are still going on about this. Yes I don't play games that not just have bestiality in them but the developer brags about it like they're the sexual Messiah ushering in a new era of sexual freedom. I guess you're into fucking bears and other animals. Whatever you do behind closed doors is between you and your barn animals, I would just prefer to keep it out of my games. I vote with my dollars and support games I'd like to see more of and don't support games I don't want to see more of. I don't want to see more bestiality. Apparently you do.
As to killing it depends. We talking about self defense or defense of others or murder? There's a difference. Now if it's murder is then is there an option to do something else or are you forced to be evil? That's why I quit Red Dead Redemption 2 is at some point the game forces you into being an evil piece of shit, so I quit and haven't been back. Don't intend to. Killing isn't necessarily evil. Unfortunately sometimes it's necessary to kill someone else intent on killing you or your loved ones because they won't listen to reason. War exist because of this and I don't think everyone who signs up to serve in the military is evil.
Quick question: does anyone know if BG3 now has working couch co-op on xbox?
I have no real interest in the game single player, but I had a lot of fun playing D:OS 1 & 2 couch co-op and so im interested in BG3 just for couch coop. However, I remember Larien saying they had to disable coop on xbox due to performance issues. I haven't really been following the game but it's been out for a while now so hoping this has been fixed.

Split screen is available on Xbox Series X, PC and PS5, but not Series S according to a few reddit posts I've read through. Supposedly Larian is trying to make split work on Series S, but they're having a tough time of it. Not sure why because a lot of other meaty games support it, but that's where it's at apparently.
According to a couple posts on Reddit, the game is supposed to clearly state this on the sale page. I never noticed it though, but I don't do split-screen so I didn't pay that close attention and I'm not at the Xbox console to check.
Larian has chosen not to sell BG3 for Xbox PC users, which I think is pretty shitty. I hate when studios and publishers play exclusive store front games on PC. Just let me buy the damn game on whatever store I want to. Why is that so freaking hard. Another reason I've put it on my back burner game list. I don't want to buy it on Steam at this time.
edit: I looked further and there are reports that the Series S split screen isn't going to happen at all.
Thanks very much @ValdemarJ for the quick response!
My brother recently upgraded to a series X, and it would be my brother who I'd be playing with. So, looks like we're good!
The slow, turn-based combat works really well with my brother's disability so, assuming he wants to play it, I'll be picking this up soon. There are so few couch coop games available these days, and even less that are appropriate for my bro's specific disability, so im glad BG3 has come along with (mostly) working split screen.

Your last point highlights your first point. "no, someone doesn't have to have sex with a barnyard animal just like someone in game can choose not to murder someone.
You are touting high morals over something you can choose not to do (any type of sex including sex with a druid in bear form) just like you can choose not to "murder" someone.
But what you're really saying is "This thing that you can choose not to do is in the game therefore you morally choose not to play the game (fair enough) but playing a game that has murder, something you can also choose not to do, is ok. Your morality argument falls flat.
Nope, don't care to see sex with barnyard animals so strawman argument. I wouldn't go down that avenue of game play even though I think it's just done for laughs. For some reason you think it's real and they are pushing this agenda.
I agree with your last point but not sure why you even added it.
