Haha yeah I still remember the AoC launch. What a complete disaster. I love Dune, but definitely taking a wait and see approach with this one.

Well if you like a game where all you see is rock and sand this is for you, will gamers be content with that I wonder? Perhaps in this day and age when playing a game means you log on for an hour with mates and don't go back for a week it will?

I love remembering all the edgelord haters (of wow) calling aoc a wow killer. 6 month after launch they were down to just 6 empty servers. Lmao wow haters get wrecked.

They probably just ported the desert from Co exiles and just tweaked it and calls it dune. huehuehuehuehuehuehuehue

I am actually a fan of AoC, you can't blame the studio for that, every big MMO that came out was being called a WoW killer. Silly times. But yes, long term AoC had real problems, the studio can't escape that.

I like the idea of playing in a Dune world...will have to wait and see though...Enshrouded while fun is lacking content and some basic stuff right now when it comes to building blocks...its in EA though so kind of to be expected, I just hope it lives up to its potential.

Nightingale...I like the idea of the game but wasn't too impressed with the recent stress test...UI was weird and clunky, for example they split the hotbar and inverted it so it goes from left to right 6 to 0 THEN 1 to 5...dunno guess they just wanted to fk with people muscle memory for some reason.....the combat kind of sucked...its truly horrid to fight in that game in 1st person and I usually like 1st person and even VR games........was only palatable due to having a 3rd person mode they just last minute added. Fighting you wanna do in 3rd and gathering etc in 1st cause otherwise it becomes a huge chore hassle to pick stuff up or target the crafting station properly... oh btw most crafting stations have two place you can target...one to craft one to add wood/fuel. Combat was just not good not even anywhere near as good as in Enshrouded...using heal items...you need to hit 6 to 0 to choose the itme then hit f to actually use it...so two button presses to use an item in the heat of battle...

Let see what this Dune game comes up with to allure the survival/crafting/building fans!

Yeah, that bothered me too. I wanted to see what the comments were so I went to YouTube itself and watched the video. It loops right back around almost seamlessly so the "and remember" joins back up with "bring your friends to Arrakis." (but yeah, also: Funcom sucks. if there's a way to make this game suck besides just making it another survival game, we can count on Funcom to bring that suck)

I am hoping this will turn out to be more of a multiplayer open world exploration RPG with heavy survival elements (which makes sense due to the harsh environment).

I hope it's not just a clone of other survival games set in the Dune world setting.

Shhh, don't tell Raphie that group orientated players can get advantages that soloers can't, he'll be crying foul for sure.

Might be kind of fun if i could get my discord group interested in playing it.

I don't know how they are making progress with Dune, they are still hiring people to produce it. Just look at their available jobs. Strange that it is all over Europe, and even one in America. I doubt it will come out any time this year. I think it'll be years before we see a release.
