I'm 51 and my back doesn't hurt at all. Maybe you should reevaluate how much time you spend sitting vs standing vs exercising. I promise you staying in shape doesn't get any easier as you get older.

Yea, my issue was that I was 270 lbs at one point before the pandemic. I did end up losing about 85 lbs in 2020 and 2021, so the pain is better, but a lot of the damage had been done with the extra weight, which all sat in my mid section.
I do actually use two standing desks for work and gaming, and (until this chair) would spend about half my day sitting, half standing.
What I miss is my desk treadmill that let me stay mobile while working, but it broke during a move.
I would go crazy w/ a standing desk. I hate standing still for long periods, plus my cat usually sleeps on my lap while im at the PC. She would be quite mad.

Totally this.
IMO it gets even more important to go to the gym if you don't have a active lifestyle. For example I am very sedentary in my old age and do not do sports (I used to be very active in my work and before I was married) and such so I go to the gym 3 times a week for my regular training routine and do cardio a couple times a week on my "off" days.
I also keep track of my diet (I keep track of the carbs, fat and protein I eat and try to keep carb intake lower than protein and fat intake) cause unlike when I was in my 20 n 30 and even 40 I can't drink like a fish and eat what ever the hell I want and remain fit as it turns into fat far, far more quickly now.
Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
