Personally really enjoying the game. It is truly open world with an absolutely huge map and lots of stuff to explore. Night time is actually dark and as long as you don't cheat by cranking up the brightness gives that feeling of possible danger around every tree and corner because even with your lamp on you simply cannot see very far. Same effect exploring caves of which there are many. Exploration is very much encouraged as there's all sorts of monsters, treasure and points of interest to find off the beaten path the no quest is going to guide you to. I actually tend to avoid using fast travel because there's so much to discover and fight by going on foot and allowing yourself to follow the smaller paths instead of sticking to the main road. I personally haven't hit any major bugs. Certainly nothing that broke a quest. Fighting a dragon is a pretty epic experience. Really enjoying the game.

Right now i'm struggling figuring out how to get harpy's to pick me up and fly up and drop me into their nests which just so happen to be places with rare loot/seeker token spots, and getting a harpy to fly you up to these spots are the only way. (outside of Modding)

I thought of using the blink skill via the mystic spearhand vocation to to perhaps shot myself to some of these out-of-reach locations, but i quickly found out just how dangerous that was and for the sake of self preservation, i didn't want to keep wasting wakestones on myself. xD

I am still very much having a blast and the journey still feels very long, like i have a very distant road ahead of myself, i read somewhere the level cap this time is lv. 999, so uhhhh. yeah. Also i read NG+ is insane.

Yeah it’s a great game. I hope they can optimize it better so that more people can enjoy it.

Because an option for a new game should have been there in the first place? 'Finally' is pretty apt in my book.

I think the "thinking" was that you could change your face/body/pawn in game and you can do every vocation so there was no reason to start a new game.

Not realizing that some people might want to start a brand new, fresh game.

It makes a certain sense. However, as I mentioned elsewhere, I wonder if they tested this with players or just in house testing.

Except that one would think in house testers would have needed to restart many times during testing.

From how quickly the restart functionality  was enabled leads me to believe it was always there, but was disabled for reasons unknown prior to release.

Or they were considering selling the feature and figured it wasn't the right time to test that move out. Yakuza Infinite Wealth did sell their new game plus so it wouldn't surprise me if another company wanted to take it a step further.

I don't know anything about game development. Do they just start the game, bring up a console and have at it until they have to test the interface and "start" feature.

I say that because in Skyrim, you don't have to actually go to the options menu and "quit" if you know that you hit ~, bring up the console and type "qqq" (without quotes) and it's a very fast quit.
