Best solution is don't buy it (vote with your wallet by not giving them money) and get if from the high seas and play it anyways with everything unlocked.

Yeah I wouldn't be advocating pirating games. It's kind of part of the reason game companies are like eff it lets get more greedy and push some of that loss onto paying customers, plus they add things like Denuvo for people to piss and moan about while they proclaim they can still pirate the game anyways. A better response would be just not to purchase or play the game.
This is why I haven't bought a Ubisoft or EA game since 2019. I decided they represent everything wrong with the gaming industry and I would show my displeasure by not giving them my money.
Do they care? Probably not but at least I feel I am not contributing to companies that don't respect me as a potential customer.
But please don't pirate the games. If you do you've list any right to the moral high ground when complaining about the big bad publishers/gaming companies.
Yep, this is a game I will never own. Putting a season pass in a single player game is greed beyond measure.
Ok, we are talking about a for-profit business not a charity. You want to fly 1st Class, you pay extra for that. If you want to own and drive Ferrari you got put up or shut up. The Ford Focus in your drive will do just fine.

It doesn't apply to every company, stop generalizing and actually find games that suit your life style. The market is flooded with fing games now. If not go grab a pickle paddle and get out side. FYI, if you're looking for respect from a gaming company, standards and priorities are in the wrong place. It's a fing video game.

Where did I say every company? Amazing games are coming out from indie/smaller studios so that's what I buy.
Also, what do you care where/why I spend or don't spend my gaming dollar? I'm not on any forum screaming for people to boycott these companies. I'm just saying why I don't.

That's a fake claim that has been spouted plenty over the decades but too each their own, companies pull crap like this cause they want to milk their playerbase point blank.
Whether you sail the high seas or not isn't my business nor is it yours and I am not going to debate it with you cause there no convincing people one way or the other as most peeps already have their minds set on this.

Company is on my do not buy from list they went full greed... one simply doesn't go full greed. Telling us get used to not owning our products we purchased get real Ubisoft... Do us a favor call Larian Studios and wake up.

I actually went to a UBI soft tour as they have a couple of location near where I live and while most of the people I met were nice a couple of the people I met there and was asking about how working there was like had....shall we say...attitudes laced with entitlement and a bit of arrogance too. I guess its to be expected with how ubi soft wants to run things.
That said they are on my do not buy list too, so I get their game from gift codes or like from promo codes like when I bought my 5800x and such.

The beauty with Ubisoft games is, they try to scam you with these outrageous prices, season pass, etc at launch....
.... but just wait till later this year during end of year sales, black week, etc and you can grab this game for under 10 bucks with season pass included.
I haven't bought an Ubisoft nor EA game at full price for years, since you know that months later they dump their games for next to nothing.

I picked up the hundred dollar version of AC Odyssey a short while ago for something around $15, and it came with some other AC game.
Another Star Wars game doesn't excite me much, but if I want to play this I'll wait for it to hit GamePass or go on sale for $15. I'm sure it will be on PS+ Premium pretty soon too.
Ubisoft have really lost their way... The only Ubi games I buy now are the ones that go on sale a couple of years after launch. After the dumpster fire that is Skull & Bones, no way I'm buying another day one game from them (and thank the lord for Microsoft's easy refund system on Xbox)!
I will just wait a year or two an buy this when the price is a 10th of what they want me to pay. I am not going deny myself playing something I might enjoy because I hate the studio that made it. I will just wait till they get a fraction of what they wanted for it and it is on a major sell.
Doesn't hurt me to wait to play it down the road. There are so many games these days I tend to buy some an even forget I bought them and end up not playing them for months or even years at some point.
Everyone is right though this studio is all that is wrong with gaming. The entire you will never own a product you purchase from them was the final nail in the coffin for a lot of people and is very understandable.

Yeah, with all the exciting news from the Ubisoft camp, I'm not sure this is the biggest one.
How about Ubisoft removing your purchased games from your library? You know, so that you can buy something else from their store instead... There's never a bad time to give them more of your hard-earned money for their next AAAAA game, right?
Go on, buy Ubisoft's latest quintuple-A game, you will own it at least a couple of years... maybe.

Morality is subjective, whether you are for or against piracy in this context someone some where is going to find some moral fault or reasoning in your logic or argument, also by superior morality I meant about people preaching from a high horse as more often than not they got some dubious moral ideas in other areas....
One thing you learn as you get older is everyone is crazy and crooked but just in different ways so the trick to being happy in life is to find your kind of like minded cray cray and let the preachers on the street corners do their own thing.
Internet forums and social media are a prime example of how this is true.

Noooo not everyone is crazy and crooked but I suppose it helps justify a "I do what I want" attitude.

See that the thing no one is perfect but some people cant admit it. Just because you don't break a law doesn't mean you're morality faultless or perfect.
This isn't an opinion, morality is subjective and being good or bad depends from your point of view regardless of breaking any laws or not.
Nothing is fully black or white which is why you don't get life for a speeding ticket.
