It's been over a decade since 7 Days to Die entered Steam Early Access, but the game's developer, The Fun Pimps, finally feels its ready for its official 1.0 release.

This is my reply when you guys go on about the EA's that ended up well, for every one of those we have one of these.
To be fair to it, there's currently 31,000 people playing it on Steam, so I wouldn't say it has "no players" or is "irrelevant". There's clearly still an active player base.
Even now, this 1.0 version could easily be Alpha 22 as it still does not have all of the features promised during its Kickstarter and odds are good it never will.
What's in a number? Well, with this release they can start charging more money for the game, especially impactful on console users who have to repurchase the game (perhaps at a discount, perhaps not).
While PC users get a pass at this time I'll be surprised if there isn't something else made available to purchase in the near future.
In fact, there already is, they are working with another studio to deliver a 4 vs 1 spin-off called Blood Moons which looks as if it could have easily been just an add on mode to the original game.
I can't complain, I've got 1926 hours playing since starting for the first time last summer, all for the $19.99 bargain price I paid on a Steam sale about 6 years ago.

7DtD has alot of fans....Too many people nowadays get caught up in what a game is labeled...The early access label didnt bother me one iota...The game is fun to play, that is the bottom line to me....They are passionate about what they do and make many improvements. Would you all rather they say the game was released 10 years ago and went on to another project like most other companies would do? Thats why we have so many crap games. I've played this over 2000 hours and got it on sale for $7.50... How can anyone complain about that?

Please enlighten everyone how the game has "no players" and "no one cares" when Steam charts say otherwise.
I've been playing it with my friends for more than four years now, and we can't get enough. And we rent a server because there is a massive increase in FPS for the host if you run the game from a private server. We've got our own little slice of apocalypse paradise going, and it's just $6 a month for the server.
The server is from 7d2d.net. I don't know which one you guys use, but theirs are stable and for a good price.
