Ubi has quickly become one of my "never buy a thing from them" companies. The are reaching EA levels of disgusting at a far quicker pace than it took EA to achieve it.

People keep giving them money, and no one is really saying 'no' to them, so what do people expect?

It sucks, but it's also pretty much out of our hands, Ubisoft is pretty much FIFA now; they are both french greed-driven companies that no one will say no to until some big scandal occurs or a government steps in to force them to stop, and even then it doesn't do much.

I'm of the opinion that people overreact to Ubisoft.

Considering that R6 is a live service game and, no matter what people say, has been get more consistent updates recently as opposed to years ago, this isn't the end of the world. ( Sure they use to make 2 ops per season, but fucking balance was AWFUL back then. It's starting to actually even out now )

ESPECIALLY if you take into account that they essentially offered this in the annual season pass they use to sell.

I'm not seeing a problem with this. I want them to keep updating my favorite game, andI want them to keep fighting the shitty cheaters that infest it.

10 a month is reasonable for a game I play a ton. MMOs/live service games charge more than this typically. It's not even needed to play the game, you just get skins, boxes and the premium BP. It's for fans of the game. If you don't like it, don't get it.

I was talking to a family member about this and we both agreed that the value isn't there. It's basically a couple cosmetics per month, premium access to a battle pass (again cosmetics), and battle pass progress bumps to get that swag faster.

It is also odd that they're doing this in a 9 year old game. Talk about a day late and dollar short. In all, it seems awkward and out of place, but mostly harmless.

People are quick to bash Ubisoft, but they're one of the few companies that has good multiplatform support. The stuff you unlock and "own" in R6: Siege syncs across platforms. Even Fallout 76 doesn't do that because BethesdaMax is greedy and doesn't mind double dipping their customers any chance they can with most all of their games including ESO.

I agree they could probably add something else - my immediate thought is extra R6 credits a month. Like 600 a month for stuff in the shop. That would make it worth, in my opinion.

But then again, I'm probably going to sub to it because I want to support them, so anything else added to it is just icing on the cake for me.
