I like the whole mailing address part. Maybe it will cut down on the bots!

Since this is a physical prize, we need the address anyway - the bot-thing is just a plus!

Can players build the cities shown in the videos or are those already existing in the game?
  • Asm0deusAsm0deus Member EpicPosts: 4,600
Good luck to those that enter sadly I don't have a USA address which is why I prefer digital sweepstakes/giveaways!

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

Players will need to build them.  Right now there are just some ruins you can find in the wild.

Not a problem, its only launching as EA anyway, so I would not play, good luck you guys!

    Sour grapes, nya nya nya.

Shit, my country is not included either. Eh, it is EA I would not play it anyway. Good luck guys.

Jokes aside, it looks a bit barebones to me at the moment. Hopefully it will build up to something interesting. But I remember "Life Is Feudal" having similar bones - albeit with a heavier PVP ruleset. I'll keep watching it for the future.

Also, kudos to mmorpg.com and the devs for the offering.
Come on you know I don't play EA, if this was a proper launch I would be complaining!

Only agreeing to the points scored by the site for getting this btw. :)

Or just one game where his not playing EA games is brought up.

Very cool to see physical components being a thing again. Maybe this will catch on in the industry and revive the good old days where I stacked my desk with crap from all the many games I was playing at the time. I still have poster maps from three different MMOS on my wall behind my desk hahah. Good Luck to everyone.

Just can't avoid them now, I rely on you guys to tell me how they are going. But the strangest part is how you say they are now is not necessarily how they turn out. Most EA's seem to just flesh out a game, others dramatically alter the way it is played.

Currently playing Orcs Must Die 3, I don't know why I like it but I do! :)

    US residents only? Thats disappointing...
People in countries outside the US have mail adresses too, You know? That's not an exclusive US-thing...

Canada but I understand the limit if there are physical items involved.  It costs an arm and a leg to mail anything other than a letter here through Canada Post to an address in Canada so I imagine mailing it outside the US (even to Canada) would be a lot more.  I got a couple of things from Displate over the years and while they're really nice, shipping from Europe (I think they're in Poland) cost almost as much as the pictures themselves.

Also, plus one for the Perfect Strangers reference.  I always laugh thinking of when Balky thought he was Elvis and the way he said Balky Bartokomous.
