I can't believe the devs didn't see the negative feedback coming....
It's like they never have played online MMOs before.
Of course people are going to bitch of one group of "lucky" players get a good headstart although I would argue it really doesn't matter except to the try hard crowd.

So no one else finds it concerning that they were going to hold an "in app purchase test"? Everyone is focused on the few days of early access, ignoring the glaring red flag that the test was specifically for the cash shop and progress would carry over to release.

"Its like they never have played (insert genre etc of your choice)" is becoming a refrain in our replies so you eventually have to consider, maybe they haven't? Or at least the ones who have are not being heard by the decision makers.

There is so many ways to look at this and comments like these have evolved and far too common, IT'S UNFAIR. Take out the Monetary APP Purchase in a game SLAP Subscription, you get the results, but instead you're forced to buy something. If It's a option, CRY, it's forced CRY! This is not a charity! This is a for-profit business.
Maybe some of us who can afford don't really fucking care, some of us just play the game and are not in it for the rat race bragging to Grandma how I got world 1st in a fucking video game.

Someone has to do it, it's not like concept doesn't already exist. I wouldn't put it past any team trying to adapt more of Airline premium services, you pay extra for that.

But should they? Imagine watching these folks at an Airport trying to board a flight not wanting to wait until their group gets called.
A headstart would only matter to the most hardcore of players. I understand in some games it can be a big deal but I have never had it matter in any MMO or games I have played or followed. It also seems to be standard industry practice now. Is there anything in the game that actually be unfair? Plots of land or building location, etc...?
Even some single player games do it which makes no sense to me. One single player game I am following offers a 2 week early access special (not EA as in EA but download early kind of thing) if you buy the $100 ultimate edition. Fans are irate. I could care less because the only thing that can happen is spoilers and I simply will avoid related social media during that time.

Another possibility is that they have played the games, but they never bothered to participate in the community drama that takes place on social media. Now that they are forced to engage with that aspect of game development, they are probably having second thoughts about what was once a dream job.
