That is pretty thin as far as a marketing tool goes. Doesn't really explain much about the game or why you'd want to play it.

They probably have the same problem I have. I played it, and still can't think of a reason anyone would want to play it.

So, I thought the game world was simply beautiful and worth running around in and exploring, so I like New World for that - and I'm probably one of 3 people who opposed the idea of mounts for faster travel, but we got mounts.  Why did I oppose? Because I liked running into people on the roads and the world was fun to explore.

All you mount fanbois: Did mounts save the game?

    No.

I could rant about this for 4 pages without taking a breath, but I'm ever so tired of players who don't even like the game world (I MUST TRAVEL AS FAST AS I CAN EVERYWHERE AT ALL TIMES) dictating design decisions.  The people who want to get through your game faster aren't fans - they're tourists, get rid of them as soon as possible.

I think mounts actually helped quite a bit. I was much more likely to go through the less traveled areas on a mount than I was when it would take an hour to travel from First Light to Brim. I almost exclusively used shrine/fast travel to avoid that -- my play time was limited. That said, AGS failed to capitalize on the Rise expansion so there's that. I had much more to do in Brimstone (content wise) than I did in Rise. And the bugs... inadequate testing and failure to act timely on PTS reports.

I did not want personal mounts but I liked mounted travel like in DAOC where you could take a horse from point A to point B if you wanted.

I didn't want mounts either.... the world becomes too small when we have mounts.
Also, I hate that player that rushes to a node on a mount to get resources ahead of me...........since I don't have one..... never bought DLC.

I liked the beauty of the environment enjoyed a lot about the game. really liked the fishing. I stopped playing mostly because it was hard for me to find an English speaking group when I played.

The only developer to put the entire mount system behind a paywall.

I have no clue why this game company can't succeed.
