    I have over 1000 hours in this game and it's a lot better than at release or even six months ago but content updates are super slow and there's still issues with crafting. The actual shooty/stabby game play is top notch, though, and they nailed the whole 40k atmosphere.

    I don't have the 1k hours, but otherwise would second this assessment. That being said I'm very excited for Space Marine 2! FOR THE EMPEROR!

    There is no single player mode is there? That was pretty much the thing that put me off when I tried it on GamePass. No judgement, just not what I want.

    I hope SM2 is going to have a single player mode.

    Space Marine 2 for sure has a single player campaign. You can optionally play it co-op but it's designed as a single player experience. The first game was as well. 

    Darktide and the Vermintide games are 4-player co-op games but they backfill with bots meaning you don't have to have a full group or even anyone in your group to start a mission. Actual players can join mid mission. I want to say Vermintide you could make the game private ensuring you would only ever have bots with you. They were supposed to add that to Darktide but I don't know if it made it in yet. I always play co-op.
