    I’m not the game’s target audience. I’m old, slow, and don’t play OW or any other games in the genre.

    But I got into the beta last night and had a blast. It being third-person is huge for those like me who get motion sick in first-person games. And of course the Marvel IP is super fun and deep.

    I don’t know how much I’ll play at launch, but I’ll definitely play more than I expected.

    OW is a failed mmo converted into a shooter.

    aiming to feel like an early version of a failed game is ... mediocre.

    Looking forward to try this and I think a lot of frustrated OW2 players are also gonna give this a try. My friends and me were extremely disappointed with OW2 and this could be a good clone. We'll see.

    A failed game that has had 100 million players during it's life and has made billions of dollars.

    I think every video game in the world wishes they were such a failure.

    One thousand percent this. Also, it's just more fun to me if you can see your own guy do his sick moves.

    The fact that it's got already-popular Marvel characters instead of trying to invent an entirely new IP will carry it far. My eyes glazed over every time the article above would try to compare these heroes to OW characters. I'm not super-familiar with OW, and I don't care at all about similarities.

    What I'm saying is, Marvel Rivals may or may not appeal to Overwatch fans, but it will definitely scoop up a huge portion of the Marvel fans who didn't care for OW.

    Failed MMO converted into *an extremely successful and profitable* shooter.
