"as now some plants and stars will gradually migrate across the map"

Do they just uproot themselves and start floating in space?

So is there still no actual story mode? I felt that was the biggest thing missing from the 1st game and its expansion.

No story mode -- at least based on the 1.0 version from EGS. I don't think they ever even had that goal though.

I'd be surprised if they did, after all, this is an 4X / RTS game. All those games are about "here's your galaxy, now survive, expand and win".

They could make some token effort with a story, like various objectives with flavour text, similar to Stellaris, for example - but why bother? It's not that kind of game.

Sins' whole story, setting, etc. were always just briefly explained in the intro videos and that was it. That's the story.

Looking forward to this, Sins 1 has been among my favourite games. It was the first Steam game I decided to push to 100% achievements, which I normally never bother with. Great to see its comeback after so many years of silence.

I've been wanting a new 4x game. I really like the Civilization game that was about colonizing planets - Beyond Earth I think it was called - maybe I'll give this one a shot.
