Look, if it's good, great. If not, there is always TQ 1 and THQN can continue expanding it.

Such a freebie! I mean, more TQ (visibility) is always great.

They addressed that when Nordic released the Anniversary edition by adding Caravan Drivers (banks) to the game.

    SWG (pre-cu) - AoC (pre-f2p) - PotBS (pre-boarder) - DDO - LotRO (pre-f2p) - STO (pre-f2p) - GnH (beta tester) - SWTOR - Neverwinter

Looks cool, too bad ARPG is a dead genre.

I wouldn't say dead, niche yes.

The original game came out in 2006 and the company that made it shut down in 2008, but the game had such a following it remained very popular.

Enough so that in 2016 Nordic bought up the rights and rereleased it and again remained so popular that they've made a Titan Quest II.
There were 163k people playing Path of Exile past 24 hours https://steamcharts.com/app/238960

so I would not call it niche. The genre is well and very much populated by  many games. Lots of them are single player like Grim Dawn and Inquisitor Martyr which I adore BTW.

If you go to their respective Reddits it is hopping like Path of Exile or Last Epoch. Many posts and lots of discussion

It's not a dead genre at all. In comparison MMORPGs genre might be a mummy.
Can believe you are here from 2009 and I assume you play games way before that, yet you don't know what concurrent users/players is.

No! There weren't 163k players playing PoE in the last 24h. There were, at the day's peak  163k players, aka at THE same time. So I assume there were like .. at least 1 million players for the day ( I would say more, but whatever ).

..and that alone, only on Steam.

Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy?
Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!

What a nasty way to phrase it. I am perfectly aware of what concurrent players means but I was merely talking about the 24 hour peak which I phrased poorly. Which you jumped on very quickly to show your superiority. God you even checked how long I have been here.

Yeah.  I think it's always been an under explored setting in gaming snap planets in order.   I had high hopes for a game called Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising many years ago , but they really screwed it up during development and I don't even know if it officially launched.  So much wasted potential.

PS: Yes I know Greek and Roman mythology are not the same but are obviously very similar settings.

There were two teams for gods and heroes.

The first one never launched. Then another studio acquired the rights and eventually launched it though it really wasn’t finished. It ended up “ending.”
Yeah I played the original at launch and then fired it up again a few months ago and was reminded how fun it is. I'll be picking this up day 1.
