    hmm it is really ddos? everytime there is a new content/update/expansion the server get lag, i think is more their servers are sh!t tbh...

    Or it really is a DDoS.   We've had outages, servers getting corrupted due to bugs, etc, and they report that on the lodestone when they occur.

    It's just that web outlet's love to jump on anything that has to do with a big DDoS attack because it 'sexy' - it generates more clicks and views, versus:  'boring' "Hey guys, we had to do a realm reset on Chaos due to some server power outages within that region, apologies for the inconvenience."

    No one wants to write about everyday stresses of server machines overheating or Mitch coughing up some of his coffee and spraying it onto one of the network switch panels.
