Gamescom was filled to the brim with release dates, world premiere trailers and more. Among the announcements,  ARC Raiders has now received a release date that includes a huge change.

    I am fine with a game costing $40 like this as long as three conditions are met. First, it must offer an extended demo/trial/access so I can try the game and make an informed decision to purchase or not. Second, no bait and switch and by that I mean the game I try is the game itself and not some limited, spruced-up fancy version different from the full game. And lastly,  I am then not bombarded by DLC's, micro-transctions, battle passes, stores, deal of the week, etc...in the game after I buy it.


    One of the things that drew me back to WOW is exactly that. I am not constantly bombard by loot crates, weekly sales, battle passes, etc... Its refreshing and until recently, I was not aware of how much "playing the monetization game" and associated circus distracted me from enjoying the game.
