Does anyone know why this game is (or seems to be) doing poorly? I played in beta and it seemed decent. Does anyone have enough playtime to provide an honest review?

My guess is the PVP drove the pve players away, which leaves a dead world as there are no sheep for the PVP players to kill.  Seems to be a cycle for MMO's.  @Wargfoot seems to be the most vocal resident expert on this game and probably has thoughts on the matter though.

Or a game becomes rather boring for those who have dived into its limited offerings and has nothing to do with the anti PvP drum you are beating.

Also I see comments such as Unpolished and P2W on Steam, might be more to do with that?

I think the biggest complaint is the lack of content.

I didn't share that complaint, but I understand it.  I had plenty to do because I was only using gear I made, which means I had quite a bit of crafting to work out.  However, if you're a monster hunter type of player then you can run out of content in a week if you know what you're doing.

I also spent quite a bit of time working out stragetic locations for housing (I had 7 houses) because the Aerhen planet (or zone) had open world PvP.  I was getting rich at it, but they removed open world PvP, so I lost one of the few challenges I had.

I think the game has the best progression system I've encountered in a game, but it definitely needs more content.  I wish they had 20 more developers and another 2 years in development.

Trouble is how many games can you say that for these day? Not quite finished is the norm.
