when the only good thing about the game is no loading screen then you know this game is lacking

It looks like a pretty fun game. I'm not super hyped with the fact that they kept the Korean pay-to-win mechanics though. Buying item upgrades and enhancements from the shop is not a good sign. But that really only effects end game.

It's probably fine if you just want it for the leveling experience.

There are a lot of small touches about T&L that I really like. My favorite is the beast-form morphs for actions like sprint and glide. Not so different from WoW's Druid, but everyone gets them, and the animations are a lot more fluid. The best part is that you can collect different forms -- I'm a sucker for collecting.

Too bad the foundations of the game were intentionally designed to annoy me. I could have a lot of fun with some of these systems in a different kind of game.

Game plays really good, having allot of fun with it. Combat is great, dungeons cool and hard, graphics amazing. It lacks nothing imo.

Though I don't see myself playing this long term as I'm more into single player RPGs, I don't see what all the complaining is about. It's free. Deal with it. You don't have to buy anything to get your money's worth.

It rather depends, some of the many things FTP brought in where whales which distort the gameplay and unless you spend no money I challenge anyone to be certain of how much they are spending. Obfuscation of player spending has many believing the game is not costing them anywhere near as much as it actually does.

I spent money on early access, which apparently some folks have a huge problem with, but other than that have not spent a dime and i am ok with still having a few pieces of green gear. I am having a fun, casual time.

Good for you, but I was talking about FTP generally, not picking out T&L as some sort of especially bad example, I don't know enough about the game to make a decision on that.

I am one of those folks who has a huge problem with early access, but then I never understood why gamers played beta's back in the day when "early access" was free.

In the old days I betaed every game I got my hands on until I realised it ruined the launch experience and quit doing it.

Not True. In this one, you dont have to spend a dime and you can still compete with people. Sure it will take you longer about 1-2 weeks more but you will reach it unlike other games where the cap is unreachable.

I know many guilders who felt the same way, but some had no issues with doing the beta then playing the game with multiple alts. Like I always say it takes all sorts to make a MMORPG go around.

They can be, but need not.
