I'll say the biggest sin this game has commited is having equipped gear take up bag space......this is like early 2000s game design (that even wow solved).
This game is fun. I hated it in Beta1, strangely loved it in Beta2, and am having a great time through EA and Official Launch. ... & it's F2P, so no big loss if it isn't your thing. Suggest doing a bit of research on ideal builds... and upgrading your equipment/skills 'correctly' as you level to 25.. 50.. beyond. It makes a huge difference. Enjoy the leveling process & don't rush through. My 2 cents.

I forgot I tried this a few months ago in a beta. I wasn't impressed with it then and that hasn't changed. I'll give it a bit more before I decide if I want to keep playing or not. It just feels kinda clunky to me.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

Dude, there's no way in hell you're gonna defend a 'design decision' like that.....

It is a design decision. Do you really believe that they couldn't actually add a 'char window' where it will show your equipped items and such?

Dude, if you look over my post history (no need to of course) or ask the fine folks in this thread, you'd see that I usually defend things like bag space limitations, weight limitations, fast travel limitations, slow leveling, losing xp on death, etc.
Not sure why you're so incredulous about this but I believe limitations are a good thing.
I'll add, in Lineage 2, my main mmorpg for many years, people would often swap gear as part of their pvp strategy because of the different bonuses. I think they might have added a timer for armor/robes but it's been a long time.
Having bag space limitation means that there are less choices for you so you have to make harder choices. That on top of whatever else one needs for pvp.
I only have few hours in this game so I've yet to really learn the ins and outs but I suspect they don't want people having access to everything they have when out in the field or perhaps a siege.
Now, if that's not the case here, if different gear sets don't give you bonuses, don't give you significant advantages, then sure, why have the limitation. But I suspect that's the case.

a design decision doesn't automaticly make it a good decision. there is a reason that character screens showing equiped gear has become standard.
the only time you would make this decision is to make players buy more inventory space

It's there. Press P (default keybind). They're talking about gear taking up bag space despite being equiped, which while not very QoL friendly is a design decision, yeah.

Well that isn’t the only time a decision like this would be made. Having said that in this day and age of nickel and diming players, that’s not really beyond the pale.

Can literally spend like 200 solient the first time and get 5 extra bag spaces. Think i am up to 150 spaces in my bag and the last time i purchased more was like 250k for 5 spaces. Of all the things to complain about, i dont see this as being one of them.
I remember back in the day gamers were up in arms over F2P and Cash shops. Today, its a moot point. 99% of the market is using that model. If you dont like it dont play it. You dont really have an option at that point. Even rock solid games that were pure sub and box price has moved to F2P or have a cash shop. If thats a problem, please tell me where you are playing games. I will follow you there lol

Some of the
streams / videos look OK, and its free so guess I will lose a few hours at most if I hate
it. Will download and maybe try this weekend.
Ah yes, the
old FTP article threads that used to be on the forums. I think Richard Aihoshi
did that column Free Zone or something like that in 2010’ish covering the FTP option
and Micro-transactions. There were some heated debates for sure back then.
The posts themselves
are gone now but I recall some of them (my memory may be a little off has
been awhile):
Kyleran was
going on and on how he wished there was some way he could completely *own* his
Eve spaceships. Some kind of unique Token attached so he could buy and sell
them on the open market, outside the game.
Scot kept
saying that the Nintendo Wii was the greatest gaming system ever devised, and
he would never need another Console as it was the very pinnacle
of human gaming ingenuity.
Slapshot
was still a developer for Mortal Online back then and would give us the inside
scoop on the studio and that Mortal Online was going to completely change the
face of gaming. Remember his MO Forever tattoo?
Sovrath heard
the Jonas Brothers for the first time then said he was taking a break from
gaming, posted about maybe picking up music.

I can't be expected to take all the credit for the Wii, but I will take my share.
We were correct though, F2P became the bane of MMOs we thought it would be. It followed a very similar cycle to what we have seen since then, new monetary system comes in, is at first not that abused and players ask "what is the problem". Then it gets worse and worse, I supposed the latest has been early access and crypto is up and coming.
Maybe for once in my life I'll actually look at a live stream later today. This game didn't really get much interest from me when I look at it. It doesn't surprise me that it has pretty good numbers trying it... because there isn't exactly much coming out.
