People want a good, new MMORPG to play. This isn't it. I checked it out, like many others, but I don't plan to continue playing it.
Of interest, why not write an article that compares the game with the highest number of players to the game that currently makes the most money? That data should be available somewhere.
I can see why the 'gacha' style game, with microtransactions and gambling for success, are popular with developers as I suspect their predatory tactics make them the most money. Personally, if I'm going to invest time into something, I want to know the outcome beforehand. I'm not a fan of random luck.
Someone in another thread commented that they got some sword to drop from a boss and immediately knew the monetary value. The fact they knew that, the fact it has it, and the fact they were excited about it tells me everything I need to know about the game and is proof as to why I have no desire to play. I did try it as well and it had its moments but there are better games out there. Once the new shiny wears off, it will decline quickly.
Jesus, the toxicity in this game is sooooooooo BAD!!! If it wasnt for that I would love to play it. The current end game kicking from the group so you cant get loot is just amazing that it exists in an MMO in 2024. Just NO!
Amazing game, considering the recent games. But looking at it long term.. No go. Spent hours grinding leather, whats it matter since crafting is BARELY in. Saved up a ton of (rarish) drops for my mom and sister, no trading. Aside from that.... it appears there isn't any more game..... in the game....

because the game is pvp, which translated to "we were too lazy to create actual content so go make your own fun"

I always advocate for PvP in MMOs, but yes it has become an excuse to not add content in a MMO, much like "Survival".
It's a game that originally had autoplay. It's basically the adapted version of a Korean mobile MMO.
Once people finished through the turoial (i.e. race to max level and main quests) and arrive at the time-gated bullshit endgame à là Lost Ark and the p2w-fueled guild-only PvP... well, let's just say I will be surprised if this one does much better than Bless.
