I have been watching a lot of videos about it and initially I was very critical. However they are doing a lot that, for me, really makes me want to give it a try. Voice acted MSQ, new cut scenes, stuff like that. Typically I love leveling and questing in the game but hit the end-game-gear-progression wall as I always do. However I have over 550 hours (I think) in the game so with that amount of investment, I will give it a go. Lots of folks are talking about not re-rolling which I think is a mistake but thats just my 2 coppers worth.

I think it comes down to how much you've put into your old character for gathering, crafting, etc...

Absolutely, and I can understand that. I worry they will come back and be like "where are all the changes" where it seems (other than the raid and other specific content) a lot of the new stuff is directly related to the early game and leveling - things "legacy" players will have already completed or done.

Not sure why any console players would choose console-exclusive servers. I don't even understand why AGS is making that an option. Isn't the whole point to increase server populations via cross-play?

Sony is making them do PS only is what people are saying.

PC players have a reputation of being toxic towards consoles, hackers and cheating.  I wouldn't blame a console player for not wanting to mess with all that.  Granted it not all pc players most are pretty good.

The server populations are 4000 so I don't think  spreading out between cross-play and console only will be a big deal.  Eso has been pretty successful without cross-play.

Yeah, it is a requirement by sony and maybe MS to have some console-only servers. I do wonder how many console-only servers there will be though. I see the possibility of this being an issue down the road when mergers are required. I do not understand the toxicity aspect that players are harping about as it is so easy to just block someone and never have to deal with them again. Toxic behavior is not limited to PC only.

All in all though, i am looking forward to the relaunch and will be creating a new toon on a fresh cross-play server. PVP flagged leveling with friends is some of the most fun this game has to offer, for me.
