It would be nice if more games made this type of decision instead of just shutting down servers and dropping a game all together because the online thing which barley ever works at this point doesnt review well with the community. People want to log into a game and enjoy it at their own pace and possibly COOP with friends but not be forced to do online only everytime they login. Its kind of funny that everytime a new game launches on Steam and says online only, half the comments in the Forums are when will we get an Offline mode.

    They should just shut down.

I really like this game. It's fun. No real complaints from me, for once.

I like to complain about games.

I've enjoyed the rework. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, nor is it going to be a game I'll put 100s of hours into, but I enjoy the gameplay enough to keep it installed and play it alongside other SP games.

I got it after the rework and quite enjoy it. They may a good call rather than trashing it altogether, in my opinion anyway.

Did those original packs state all DLCs would be provided at no additional cost? If so you have a point but otherwise not.

I tried this recently and it felt like a generic action game with lite "RPG elements", design-by-numbers. Story was about as boring and generic as you'd expect. Bounced off it within 2-3 hours.

it's not their fault, digital extremes decided to shut down the publishing sector 2 months after their early access launch.

they basicly took the money and ran.

The best thing this game ever did was shift away from the MMO. It didn't need to be an MMO. It is 100% better now than it ever was as an MMO. I am glad the devs actually listened to the people that played the game and made this change. It saved the game, which overall is very fun. It isn't one you are going to sink thousands of hours into most likely but it is a good filler when you are between games and want something different to play.

i know all of that happened but the right thing to do would be to make things right with people who bought the high priced founder packs expecting the game they advertised

Wayfinder deserves to recover from the publisher mess the dev went through.

Game has such a cool style and potential for future expansion, but as the dev admitted if the launch isn't successful seems the game's future is a F.
