Damn these look like shit. Better art on the actual FF TCG. And nobody wanted spider-man magic the gathering cards. Bring back mid 90s magic. Best art and great tone.

They completely destroying the D&D franchise too, along with Magic:The Gathering.

Luckily I managed to experience Magic's golden years back in the 90's.

Hasbro (parent of TWotC) are just pure corporate evil now, treating artists like sh!t and have been caught more than once in using generative AI Art.
They literally tried to drip feed it into one of the card series and promo material to test the waters and see if they could get away with it. Ultimate goal is of course not having to pay any artists anymore.
With D&D they now try to turn it into a Live Service game, cut out independent/homebrew content creators. Forcing a new edition, so they can get away from the Open License and trying to create a new license, where they can steal from homebrew creators and use/sell it as their own. It completely blew up in their faces with universal backlash, but now they force it through anyway via the new edition they try to turn into a digital Live Service monster.

Hasbro leadership has become scum of the earth. Destroying two major franchises with their greed!

    Damn that art is amazing.

I legit don't understand why you guys think it looks like garbage, cause that has to be the best Emet Selch I've ever seen.

Oh don't get me wrong, some of the art (like the one you mention) look great. It's just a far cry from what Magic used to be.  Also what the parent company Hasbro tries to do, like finding sleazy ways to get generative Art AI involved to cut out real artists.

It's sadly just a matter of time, until Generative Art AI reaches a level, where barely anyone will notice the difference anymore.
Already now a very large portion of the Public are easily fooled already and don't notice anymore.

It's both a sad and scary thought. :(
