Recently, Dungeons and Dragons Online got its first 64-bit server. Mitch took it for a spin to see if it solves some of DDO's lingering issues, and whether it is worth the VIP subscription price of admission.

Nexon did the same thing with Mabinogi Heroes years ago and it only made the lag issues MORE pronounced, because durrrrrr, of course they would be.

But then again none of the Pantheon articles get the developer name correct no matter how often it is pointed out and the recent Monsters and Memories game called it Monsters and Magic.

This should be edited and fixed, but please continue to point this stuff out when you see it. We aren't perfect by any stretch, and criticism like this isn't unwelcome. Thanks for holding us accountable, y'all.
Yeah, the Triune thing was definitely a brain fart. I also cover indie MMOs, which is where I got the Triune name from (you should check out Eternal Tombs if you are interested in the indie scene). I try not to make mistakes in my writing and make multiple editing passes before submitting an article, and I appreciate it when someone points out any errors that sneak through so that they can get fixed. If it's any consolation, I did correctly name Turbine as DDO's developer when I revisited DDO for my MMO Reroll column back in 2021.
As for my actual DDO credentials, I first played DDO during a beta test, then played it for a while after launch. I returned to DDO when it went f2p in 2009, and it was my main MMO until I moved to FFXIV when it launched. I continue to revisit DDO periodically and am having a good time playing it right now.
I'm not suggesting the lag could be fixed within such a short time frame, but I am suggesting that it could have been addressed before no-way o'clock next Neverday.
