Right now get 2 copies of game for $50. Not a bad deal. Otherwise pay $39.99 for one copy after December 1.

I tried it out recently and def gave me some good ol vanguard vibes. hopefully they get the funding they need. still has a long way to go from what I saw, but grouping and grinding was fun at least.

If they didn't try to reinvent the wheel a few times to appeal to investors without having an actual product, they would've had the funding they needed the first attempt. That's as much on Brad as it is the current team though.

Yeah, it is what it is. That said, still currently the only mmo I'm playing right now and still having fun despite low content. The EA version will have significantly more content with more zones. It certainly has the old school spirit with camp grinding and harsher death penalties. Pantheon certainly fills that niche market.

Can the game code I got for alpha be useable for steam?

I looked some videos about it. Steam reviews will crush it, there is no doubt. The graphics look very dated, the reviews are like "it is not a finished game, but if you liked Everquest..." Not enough to survive Steam. Well I loved EQ2 and I liked Vanguard, which gets me always interested to have a look at Pantheon, but there is nothing but nostalgia to get me interested. Why should I pay money for a game looking like fan project revival of Vanguard (which exists!)? Why don't they do something ingame to really attract NEW customers? Cool features, graphics, sytems. Sorry Visionary Realms, I can't see your vision.

It's a better EQ2 than EQ2 already and it's getting better very regularly. EQ2 was lame to a lot of people who wanted something different but not

    that.

This will appeal to those players, but launch (not "Early Access" - but Live) won't be for Some time Yet, and that probably won't, but

    It Is Good.

Can't recall but I think the early $1000 backers got a free sub for life but when or if EA ever ends I believe the sub starts for everyone.
