    Erenshor had me at "simulated friends"

    I am hopeful that the concept can be clever and fun, but we will have to wait and see. I downloaded the game after the last article on mmorpg about it (that I read). 

    Nothing about this game offends me the way Chris Roberts or Raph Koster can.

    Perhaps you can get think of it in a different way.

    It’s a single player game that is made to look/feel like an mmorpg.

    but just a single player game. Don’t get caught up on the MMORPG moniker.

    "Simulated MMORPG" is a good way to think about it, also. Sincerely, The guy who's making it :)

    The Erenshor demo, available during Steam Next Fest until October 21st, offers a solo MMO experience with a spooky new area called Shivering Step, six bosses, and 12 hours of gameplay, perfect for Halloween.

    This is an oxymoron, you can't "put the p^$$% on the chain wax!" with an entire genre of gaming, whoever this dev is! FFS....just call it an RPG O_o

    It's pretty hilarious when I tried this. I shouted  "anyone want to group". I got like 5 answers. One said 'I am not carrying you''. Another said he was busy had to walk his dog. Another said be there in a few. Yet another said  May be later was busy now. 

    Then they started fighting about how this one guy was a lousy paladin. Cannot recall what his name was. Then they started going at it in zone chat. There was this one guy trying to sell a spell at a really high price. Had more chat there than I normally see in an MMORPG that is about the game and not about politics and homophobia.

    I should try this again, it seemed pretty bare bones the first time I tried it. I'd be curious to see where it is now in development.

    I swear in chat the NPC players were saying "Bring it to Xbox!" and "This really needs to be on Xbox on ID@Xbox Game Preview". Stuff like that. Even the NPCs know. Now that's some dynamic AI!
