    Running Avast as well.

Avast probably has more to it than AVG Free. It automatically scans IMs, P2P network downloads, web pages, email and has a minor firewall of sorts as well as having the typical resident shield thing.

It's quite good for being free but all of those parts probably take up a bit more resources than AVG Free.

i dont use a virus software program, because I dont get viruses, its pretty easy. Every now and then I do a spybot sweep, cuz sites decide they want me to have spyware, or just so when i type my personal info in newegg no one else sees. its prety easy not to get viruses. i understand the need for a anti virus program, and most un-computer savy people are under the impression that there are a million hackers and they are all sitting there hacking you and giving you viruses. thats not the truth, unless you make it. just be safe ::::20::

i do have a somewhat firewall cuz my stupid friends try to hack me every now and then (and fail), i get em back tho.

Hi there! It's always a good idea to be cautious when downloading anything online, especially when it comes to something as important as antivirus software. Some reputable options for free antivirus software include Avast, AVG, and Bitdefender. However, it's important to do your own research and read reviews from trusted sources before downloading anything. Best of luck to you!

There are several reputable companies that offer free antivirus software to protect your computer from malware and other security threats. Here are a few popular options:

    1. Avast Free Antivirus: Avast is a well-known name in the cybersecurity industry. Their free antivirus software provides essential protection against viruses, malware, and spyware. It also includes features like real-time scanning, web protection, and email protection.

    2. AVG AntiVirus Free: AVG offers a robust antivirus solution with features such as real-time security updates, malware scanning, and web protection. It also includes a file shredder to securely delete sensitive files.

    3. Avira Free Security Suite: Avira's free security suite combines antivirus protection with additional features like a VPN (Virtual Private Network), password manager, and system optimization tools. It offers comprehensive protection for your digital life.

    4. Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition: Bitdefender is known for its advanced threat detection capabilities. Their free antivirus software provides real-time scanning, anti-phishing protection, and automatic updates to keep your system secure.

    5. Microsoft Defender Antivirus: If you're using a Windows operating system, you already have built-in antivirus protection. Microsoft Defender Antivirus (formerly Windows Defender) comes pre-installed on Windows 10 and offers basic protection against viruses and malware.

Avast Free Antivirus and AVG Free are good options. Both offer decent protection without bogging down your computer. If you’re unsure which to trust, you can also look for reviews on PissedConsumer https://www.pissedconsumer.com/club.html to see what other users have experienced. Just make sure to download directly from the official websites to avoid fake versions. Free options work well for basic needs, but if you ever feel like upgrading, those reviews can help guide you too.
