AC1 is now available on Direct2Drive.

Maybe we can get some new blood into the game.

It looks good. D2D is getting more popular, so hopefully this will get the game more exposure to gamers.

I do like AC and may play again soon, but the phrase "continued high demad" just cracked me up. Yep, people in stores are just clammoring to play AC and there aren't enough boxes to go around for everyone who wants one.

    lol

I'm not too concerned about the graphics engine to be revamped. It would be nice, but not a deciding factor. Now the interface is a different matter. I've been around the MMO block so to speak and kicked most of the tires. AC's interface, especially the customizable aspect, leaves more than a lot to be desired. Heck, if multiple chat windows became available, I would come back in a heartbeat.

Also I was a real big AC2 fan and the way Turbine announced the way they were dumping the game right after the expansion really pissed me off. I'm not very warm in giving that company any money after paying for Fallen Kings and then announcing AC2's end.

Welcome back :) We have had multiple chat windows since Sept. 05 patch.

Are the screenshots of the interface?

From what I read from the link, it looks like there is still one window with different channels (my guess is that each channel uses a different color). What I want are unlockable windows that can be moved around and can be resized (like AC2). I would even accept tabs to different channels.

It's Turbine  Do you think they would create a new chat system for AC ? They took the AC 2 Chat system and put it in AC. It has the floating windows you want http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/5374/screenshot000860zq.jpg

That image is from someone else's post and they are only watching 2 channels. I myself dislike the floating windows and have all 4 of the floaters turned off.

Yes, you can have 4 floating windows of chat channels on your screen.. they are completely resizeable and you can placce them wherever you'd like... AND you can adjust the transparency level of the floating panel. I personally don't use it though, because my guild talks though voice using Ventrilo... it makes us much more effective in PvP. Plus havng all the channels on the 3D screen make it difficult to target victims when you have you work around all the screens.
