So what mmorpg I should play?

I was looking forward to Vanguard or Warhammer Online:age of Reckoning but with so...... much..... negative posting about SOE this SOE that or EA this or EA that, I don't know if I'll ever go for vanguard or War. I was just wondering which next mmorpg I should go for that seems very promising. Im looking for the upcoming games, not the existing games, I played WoW and quitted right away. Any thoughts on which next great mmorpg that will come out? or if there is a hidden truth behind SOE or EA please let me know, I can't wait to buy the next mmorpg, perhaps the next greatest mmorpg ever if possible (such as WoW for the current 2004-2006 years, however that game was missigng allot fo things, so I quit) Thanks.

    Just my advice:
Ignore the hate posts on forums.  Generally speaking even though someone may hate a game it's very possible, even likely, that you may not.  Thats why, generally, when I post negatively about a game I try to list the reasons WHY I like it.  I don't bash the company, I list the features I like and the ones I dislike... And, always, that's only my opinion... not necessarily anyone else's :)

And not playing a game developed by a company just because they hired another company to publish it and/or host it for them is silly.  If you LOATHE AT&T are you going to avoid playing all Online Games just because they host most of them on their network?  That would be pretty silly wouldn't it?  Same goes for Vanguard being hosted by SOE :)   As for WAR?  I'd just wait for it to come out, as you planned, try other games in the meantime... and get into the open beta for WAR and see if you like it.  I detest EA... they've cancelled and/or ruined multiple MMO's that I've played that they either bought, ran or developed.   That isn't going to stop me from trying WAR when it goes into public beta or comes out with a free trial, however.

Just because people post negatively about a game doesn't mean it sucks.... especially when the game isn't even out yet.  Their crystal ball doesn't work any better than yours :)

In short:  Don't be a lemming.  Try everything, figure out what YOU enjoy... Generally there are very few people who's opinions I value here, and only because over the time I've been posting here I've noticed that they seem to have similar tastes in games as I do.   So I will listen to them above other people but, in the end, I will always try any game I'm interested in on a free trial or open beta, and make up my own mind... Those I listen too have often tipped me off to OTHER games to try but I have never let anyone's negative comments prevent me from trying a game I might like.  Hell, I even tried IRTH :)

My only adamant advice to people is this:  Never PAY to try a game.  Play the open beta, play a free trial.... borrow a friend's account.... but never ever buy sight unseen, especially when it comes to MMORPG's.

Yeah, this is good advice. I have made this mistake too many times.

You need to give us more of a clue on what kind of games you're looking for.. Like PvP Based i'd say something a long the lines of Guild Wars if your into your team play PvP. Also Guild Wars contains a big and good (In my opinion) PvE campaign.
