I'm gonna set this straight RIGHT NOW.

in Star Wars Galaxies

Someone took a conversation Anzel had completely out of context and it did not happen the way it did.

The call is/was PRIVATE. And will remain PRIVATE.

There are no logs.  There are no transcripts. There are no recordings.

We respect Lucasarts and SOE. They respected us.

And all you guys seem to do is start flame wars on forums because you think it increases your e-cred.

It makes me sick that people can't shut up for once.

    I just want to know if we should continue coding?  Have not uploaded a patch yet, but i have been coding.  Should we continue?

    I only post what i see.

    I'm not one for rumours usually. I just want my old game back. Like the rest of the people on here. Do not tar everybody with the same brush Ulytma. We are just all tired of lies and decent. We get a glimmer of hope from you guys which I appriciate and now its as if you might as well be working for SOE. Who knows what the F is going on.

    Cuz we sure have no idea. We just see rumour after rumour and its getting on my tits :)

    Since this is an internal affair, why not handle it like this.

    Go after people who did it. Having a few kiddies here posting on sugar rush is not the mmorpgs problem. Nor any of the poster's who frequent these forums.

    Deal with it with people who are responsible, not take it out on people who post under their established identities. Generalizations don't really apply here.

    or they can be professional for once and ignore it and continue working on this project... if the project really exists... I guess they would rather flame a community forum instead of working on their project...

    We have been completely honest with the community.

    We could have remained closed source and underground.

    But we didnt. Make no mistake,

    We are doing this for the community. We all have lives outside of swgemu and we dedicate ALOT of time to the project to make it the best that it can be.

    And when people cant respect some private information the 1 time we ask it, it makes us begin to doubt why were even doing this.

    When I see posts like,

    "SOMEONE SHOULD START AN ECW CHANT,  YOU SOLD OUT, YOU SOLD OUT"

    It makes me want to just quit and not do anything anymore.

    The conversations that we have with Lucasarts and SOE are private and will REMAIN private.

    ANYTHING you hear outside of that statement right there is completely false. We did not leak any transcripts or recordings, we did not tell our friends what happened.

    Like I said, I have respect for Lucasarts and SOE. And you should too.

    Go after the New-eclipse boys. Seems they are the ones who got you all this publicity with "the phone call".

    The handful of people that chat here on a regualr basis like myself are not bad people. We have a laugh and banta with each other. We enjoy a good rumour now and then it entertains us, but we do not like to bitch and whine like whats happened in the last 24 hours here. We are one big happy family

    Unfortunaly some people have only registered today and have started to cause trouble. Soon they will be gone and leave us in peace. :D

    All anyone on this forum has been guilty of ,was practicing wishful thinking . As it has been said to you again and again all this BS rumormill nonsense  has been from outside/new posters .

    I believe that apart from a troll or flamebait, everyone here is well aware of that, and has always been cautiosly sceptical.

    It's obvious to everyone here that the posts are flamebaits from alt accounts.

    Once again, the source of this has been more or less established. These boards do have moderation, and if needed, it is enforced. That would be the best direction to take.

    Not to be a doubting thomas and all but I am having issues with the sudden appearance of new accounts. I am not entirely sure that the lead programmer of the swgemu who has yet to post anything but a simple answer on his site's board would come hear and post several to a community he has no responsibility to. That and the respect for LA and SOE thing. Sorry, hard to swallow. Out of character. Especially for a coder who does nothing but work on code and give short answers.

    How about YOU show US some damn respect huh? Who the hell are you to just pop up here and demand respect from this entire community? Or tell us who/what to respect?

    You "respect Lucasarts and SOE"? How, by taking the code they own and modifiying it and tossing it out to the public? Thats not respect, thats borderline illegal.

    If this little call of yours was so damn private then why didnt you and youre coder buddies keep youre mouths shut in this IRC chat or whatever? Send an email, get on AIM or AOL or MSN, or use a phone. Welcome to the Internet, if you dont take the proper precautions youll get what you deserve.

    I think it's fair that you come here to set things straight. That way we don't get gazillions of threads about it. Most of the started threads conserning your call was put here by "new" posters and not much we can do about.

    The only thing you could be angry about is your fellow dev that talked on your IRC and maybe to some extent the new-eclips guy for posting snippets from your IRC on their boards.

    Coming in here being rude and insulting while asking for a favor is counter productive in my book

    For all it's worth I personally think you guys do a good job and have my respect for that but not your attitude.

    You want to know why they deserve respect?

    They've worked very hard on brining the community open source.

    Just because some of you people are out of the loop in terms of knowledge doesn't mean you have the right to flame.

    No offense here man but a few of your comments have me shaking my head! First and foremost the doozy! " We respect Lucas Arts and SOE. They respected us." ARE YOU OK? I THINK YOU NEED TO LIE DOWN IN A COOL DARK ROOM WITH A WASHCLOTH OVER YOUR HEAD!

    Second, "It makes me sick people cant shut up for once" PLEASE EXCUSE US IF WE ARE NOT PRIVY TO THE INFO YOU ARE. How would you like to be us not knowing anything of what happened? I do not condone starting false rumors. But seriously speculation is everywhere. And it cannot be helped. Unless the people with pertinent information who were involved in the convo can end the speculation

    If you can tell us anything because the unsilent majority do not know what this means. A tidbit anything. Like will there be something special to look out for in 3 - 6 weeks? Or was a deal struck today with a major game company? If you answer yes to this it is in no way incriminating you on any one subject. Just give us something to read between the lines.

    Now on a personal note... What you guys are doing is a godsend to us all. We appeciate it more than you will ever know. And we are behind you 1000%. I hope the project goes till completion as you should always finish what you start. With everything in life. Anyone handling this project other than you guys is a travesty.
