What's up with showing a hot woman with huge boobs in the banner for the Eve 60 day account contest? http://www.mmorpg.com/eve_promo.cfm

#3.. I highly doubt that any women even play that game.
#4.. Why even put that woman in the add in the first place, isn't the game all about ships? The ship is way in the background and only shows half of it, while her boobs are right in your face.
#5.. I thought Eve was a game for the "mature" minded player, why do they lower themselves to the level of using sex to advertise their game?
#6.. That's no better than Blizzard using the NE women in sexy clothing in their adds.

5 - This picture was there since opening, or atleast, a year or 2. it may be a new picture, but theres similar pictures somewhere on the lore backgrounds of the races.

1. It is true that your character is only a picture but people need to get past that and realize that there is more to a game than what your character looks like
2. No you can not get out of your ship but in EvE you are a pilot not a soldier nor a civilian so i see no need to exit your ship.
3. Many women play the game, in fact nearly half of my corp are women.
4. The game IS all about ships but that is a Minmatar woman, one of the 4 playable races. Why the emphasis is so much more on her than the ship i do not know but they aren't simply using a large breasted woman to advertise.
5. EvE is for mature minded people, EvE requires teamwork and strategy. Skills which most of the 12-year old mmorpgers out there do not have.

*edit* Yes, the game IS open pvp and there IS more to the game than just blowing each other up. Of course there are people out there that simply live to destroy other player's ships but the vast majority is not going to open fire the second they see you. The few bad pirates give the rest of the player base a bad name

Can you show me one MMO that doesnt have women with huge boobs as part of a banner or promo? In addition, that race is Minmatar. The females in that race has been dressing like that since beta. Not really a new addition to CCP
Also, there are tons of women on EVE. About 80% of us use Teamspeak and every girl I know of online for the exception of maybe 7 were real girls (either that, or they pulled off one helluva girl voice).
The corp I was in had 14 girls (-18) and 7 women (18+)

Wahey we caught one. mmorpg.com doesnt have any paid artists... that banner is obviously art by an eve designer. There are endless stories about the lore in eve yet all you see is a tiny picture ... baffles me. Then they market the 'holier than thou' community aspect yet the game is open pvp and Im pretty sure mature adults dont beat each other up.
1) If MMORPG.COM doesn't have any paid artists, where did they get get all of their logos and banners that magically all fit perfectally with the layout?
2) You would be correct in that the ad's background is CCP material. It was made by Börkur Eiríksson and is used to introduce the Minmatar race in the game's intro and during character creation. You would really ever see it during the first 5 minutes of the game. MMORPG.COM got permission from CCP to use it for this promotion.
3) If you are so sure that "adults dont beat each other up" I recommend you take a history course and prepare for a reality check. Be especially attentive to the parts about "War".

Drive around town where you live and look at billboards for beer.You wont find 1 ugly person in a beer ad on a billboard.They look to be mid 20's thin and beautiful.We all know this isnt the case.Beer causes weight gain over a prolonged period of time.

Dont start a guild and dont be a leader or volunteer to be coleader or captain.
Just play the damn game:)
