StraddenStradden Managing EditorMember CommonPosts: 6,696

MMORPG.com is sorry to announce that we have been forced to de-list the MMORPG, Graal Online.

LINUX Cyberjoueurs, the company responsible for the game, contacted MMORPG.com and asked that all game images and logos from the game be removed from the site due to copyright violations.

We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Cheers,
Jon Wood

From the looks of the game, it was no great loss.

    Now that's funny.

Not like they had much to advertise anyway.

bonkers or perhaps they don't like to be compared to the competition...

Maybe they figured their game got too much publicity? All kidding aside, I went to their website, and though it is obviously a top-down kiddy MMO, they have been around for a long time with  a solid community and plans for the future. Not sure why they are moving away from the spotlights.

It does seem odd doesnt it - after all, as stated earlier - free advertising cannot be bad.  Or can it ?

If the game is in pre-alpha, then none of the images could be live, or are subject to major change.   Where did the images/logo's come from?

Of course any news will pique 'SOME' interest, and makes people look.  However all I see (and this is my personalu opinion) is an image from GUComics and a certain Fly(game) zapper.  I do hope this is wrong for any game developers sake.  Lets see if Linux Cyb. release new images and logos that CAN be used...

I hope I'm not right, but what if they stole many things from other things which doesn't belong to them?
Sorry, but that's the only thing what I can think about "...copyright violations...".

When you look at the threats this madman Stephane Portha has made, and the lies and slander he has said, this really comes as no surprise to me, which is sorta sad. He seems to be obsessed with total fascism and dictatorship of the internet, he has even gone so far as to threaten Wikipedia. Some examples are below of this guys madness...

Graal got front page publicity with this stunt.

When was the last time you talked about Graal?
My guess is never, now we are talking about Graal.

Funny thing about it, I used to play Graal years ago. It was fun.

But anyways, I think they're more worried about their OWN copyrights. They are selling a game that is at least 75% tile rips from A Link to the Past, and they charge for it. ::::12::

Yeah, well, I agree that this makes no sense. This "Stephane" character must be a prick. I mean, I see no explanation for what he did. I remember back in the day I played Graal for a while. I liked those little turtle things that bounced around when you went out to sea, even thought it was sometimes hard to get where you wanted with them. Ah, good times, good times... Anyway, if they don't want to be on here, to hell with 'em. Not like they brought really any members to this site, anyway. Not that they neccessarily should, just that, well... Ok, I dunno where I'm going with this.

i think companies are getting scared of the customers... look at the DnL fiasco, even when they paid shills to praise the game we were here to tell the truth about it!!! I guess it's there way of having more control over they "fan" base

    /LOL

Maybe they are about to improve...change the combat system and want to stiffle any negative responces.  I hope there is no NeGlEct to the player base.
