So my mom watches news like 24/7.  And yes she is brainwashed....but thats besides the point.  Anyways so the past few days has been all about that little girl and her killer who got caught in Thailand and all.  And everytime I see the news come on its the same shit over and over again.  Its the same thing about this little girl and her killer who says that he was in love with her (she was 6!) and that her death was a accident and all.  Blah Blah....and every station says they have something that the other station doesnt.  But really they all have the same thing just in different words.  But of course the ignorant and stupid American population is captivated by this STUPID story.  The only reason why it got press in the first place is because it was a WHITE RICH FAMOUS family.  Not even that famous....mostly cause they are white.  So lets see we have well 1 war and once tense situation, not counting all the civil wars that go on in Africa everyday.  But its like everyone just up and forgot that we are fighting a (stupid) war over in Iraq.  Not to mention now we have pinned Iran and Syria asa supporters of Hezballah(sp).  So lets see...this murder that happened 10 years ago is getting more press than a war, where people die everyday, our country is fighting.  It just doesnt make sense to me....can someone explain it please?

    The answer is simple: The News show what people want to see as it improves their rating. And people in the US don't want to think but instead want celebrity news, bad news and murder cases. People in the US live an Ocean away from most of the world where events happen. I could care less about the news on TV as I just want the facts and then I'm done.

    Personally, I want real news, which means going to cnn.com and other online sources as TV news is rating driven and worthless. I think we should all come together and establish the Worldwide News Network where all it is is actual news about countries, wars, inflation, more mass scale events that the pathetic life of a celebrity.

     As I am writing this response I turned on my TV which was on CNN. Anderson Cooper was on and showing stats about JonBenet Ramsey.  17 Books on Amazon.com. 3 TV movies and almost 18 million Google sites for JonBenet Ramsey.  Society is crazy. Live with it. Deal with it or Ignore it.

    Listen kid, are you saying Hezbollah isnt sponsored by Iran ? That's been a fact for a very long time, noone needs to pin anything on anybody.  You young ones need to read some history or ask someone older instead of just basing all your opinions on the daily show 

    P.S. If a terrorist organisation is functioning inside your country with no rebuke from the government that is called supporting them also. Your ignoratn self is gonna tell me afghanistan wasnt supporting al queida ? lol

    Calling Iraq a stupid war is a bit of an understatement. Also whining about it isn't going to change anything about it in the near future.  At this point only the upcoming presidential race candidates dare to say they will pull us out of iraq, and thats just cause they want to get elected.  The situation is so bad even a democrat won't dare to withdraw from there, mark my words.  If you don't know why then you should get educated a bit on the subjects you like to spout about.

    He was spouting about the Ramsey case. Way to take one sentence in his whole post and flame him for it. Calling him a kid helps you look really mature, too. He's old enough to vote and enlist, he's old enough to voice his opinion. And on top of all that, you didn't even mention the Ramsey case in your flame, which was waht 95% of his topic dealt with.

    In case you have not noticed there has really been nothing on the news BUT the war. News channels are fighting over to get "new" news. And once something pops up then jump on it like vulchers.

    I watch about 3 hours of tv a day and most of it is National geographic or discovery or good shows like that.

    When did you hear anyone on the Daily Show say anything about Hizbollah not being sponsored by Iran?

    Maybe you should "get educated" about your accusations before you throw them out there. 

    And you usually try to enter a debate with facts, not just personal attacks.  It works in your favor if your goal is to look like you know what you're talking about.

    Hizbollah blah blah blah.  I said one thing about him.  And I do believe that Iran does not sponser Hizbollah or however you spell it.  They might agree with him though, but thats not a crime.
