Just wanted to see who was really looking forward to this game, i definatly am, iv followed Dekaron for a long time and this is absolutly brilliant news to hear, especially with David Perry being involved.
I know the Korean DEV team seemed pretty good for Dekaron, iv actually spoken to them via e-mail (or the customer service atleast) about the release for Dekaron in the EU and US and i actually got a fast reply which shows they are dedicated to there work.
So yeah im very excited for this one, i suggest anyone else who is interested searches for Dekaron on google and then watches the videos on the main website and even listen to the great music they have in the game.
[EDIT] Just wanted to add somthing about the in game advertising and Davids approach to it, who else thinks that this is a fantastic idea, i personally will be keeping the ads on though to boost the exp .
Thank you David Perry This has made my day, or night as it is right now in the UK.
Have fun guys.
Garrik

The main thing thats anoying me right now is all these morons around going on about how its going to be a korean grindfest, if they actually listened to the Pod cast they would know it wont be.
These trolls need to get a life.

ONE MAJOR UPSIDE OF THIS GAME!!!
most wowers and other P2P games are so addicted they dont look out to other things i can give u names of about 200 people who think like this "WOW IS BeST, CANT BE BETTER, NO NEED TO STOP, WOW IS BEST"
they think its best meaning we have less trouble with those guys, i for one feel pretty stupid about writeing this but i just feel like i need to shout it out =]

Nice site, thanks for the link.
As you said, nice screen shots - pretty much everything on this 2moon forum and more, I like the concept art.
I'm sure I saw somewhere that David Perry had his team working hard changing the machanics of the game etc, would be great to see if they are changing any of the artwork as well as the story line.
Thanks again jblake for the link.
sure happy to help
" David Perry had his team working hard changing the machanics of the game etc,"
as u said i saw that somewhere to. and yes he is, he has handed the team a list containing hundreds of things to change in the game so none of us know exectualy what to expect in the new game,
a few things i remember, its has a totaly new story to it, hundreds of quests um thats all i can rember atm if i find more ill edit this post
I recommend that people who visit this site should play Phantasy Star Universe when it comes out
I've been seeing in several threads people commenting on 'grindfest' as the big concern about Korean MMOs. I don't really understand why everyone is so focused on this... EVERY MMO is a grindfest. Here is MY concern, and the Dekaron site has not done anything to alleviate it:
I am a 2 year vet of Final Fantasy 11. After taking a break and cruising over a half-dozen KMMOs I have learnt a horrible truth. I CANNOT SURVIVE IN A NON-AUCTION HOUSE MARKET. WTF is the PROBLEM with KMMOs and their insistence on STATIC BAZAARS???? I do not have the priveledge of being able to afk my wares overnight. And when I AM logged onto a game, I wish to be PLAYING IT, not standing around with my thumb up my arse SELLING SH*T. FF11 offers me an Auction House AND a bazaar that MOVES WITH ME. I have had to QUIT all the other KMMOs I have tried out because of the simple fact that I can NOT get by in the Player Market Stalls-thatare-not-allowed-to-move-with-me-whilst-I-am-doing-sh*t. If you don't know what I am talking about then go play the free month of FF11 and find out. I REALLY hope Dave Perry addresses this BS that KMMOs keep dishing out.
Another issue: I also played DDO. I challenge you to show me a DDO-ite who played mouse&keyboard, and then gamepad (or xbox-360 controller) and decided to stick with the M&K setup. M&K is as friggin twentieth-century as Diablo!!!!! Either code in gamepad support or DROP THE HACKSHIELD so I can use my gamepad. Otherwise, 2Moons is gonna be as useless to me as SRO, Last Chaos, RanOnline, Hero Online, Kal Online, etc. ad nauseum. If you TRULY want to shake the tree and make a NEW experience, then I challenge you to BREAK the KMMO mould and WESTERNISE them.
Grind is a non-issue. Auction houses and MOBILE bazaars ARE. Gamepad support IS. I'm too old to be twisting my wrists in crazy ways just to manipulate a kybd in my non-existant desk space. I'm a couch-potato and PROUD OF IT.
Cheers and thanks for allowing me to rant ^^
buy playstation ^^
See, Girith, young man, I forgive you your glibness because I see myself in you ^^ I was once just like you, however I had a far better reason than you. Back in *my* time, the Apple and IBM platforms were, indeed, far superior to those baby game platforms like Famicom and Super Nintendo. However, computing, and *gaming*, have come a long~ way. I used to be just as arrogant about mouse-look beats all, it still does in a twitchy FPS environment. However, M&K is obsolete for 3rd-person action camera games, which is what KMMOs are. Turbine didn't tell all the AD&D nuts to 'go buy a playstation'. Turbine instead offered the CHOICE by programming the game with the abiity to re-map controls to a gamepad config.
Square Enix actually centred their entire UI on gamepad mechanics as, if you do your research, you will learn that FF11 came to PC *after*. Guess what, it's BETTER. None of this BS with trying to click on a target-mob only to miss-click and end up running in circles. None of this BS with running and miss-clicking and attacking a mob you really~ didn't wish to fight. None of this hotbar insanity, macroes are far easier to manipulate in the FF UI.
We live in the 21st century now. I grew up in the 20th. I have lived the progression of game design. I used to be an Apple-only Bigot, I am now a cross-platformer. Instead of narrowing your *views* and thus everyone elses *options* with such trite platitudes, open your mind and realise that certain styles of game actually function far better under certain UIs. Sure, Halo proved that FPS *can* be done on gamepad, mouse-look is proven superior. 3rd person action? Gamepad, with an appropriate UI.
The question is this: how lazy are Western devs going to become with all this Rap-style sampling they have been doing? It is cheaper to localise an already made IP than it is to re-work the UI and incorporate the OPTIONS that the modern man expects.
This post has actually exceeded the bounds of this particular forum, it really belongs in the Pub section of the site. I think people need to stop groaning about PvP/PvE for a bit and start debating the issues revolving round marrying appropriate UIs to styles of games, or at least of spending some dev ca$h on incorporating *options* for people.
Once again, Girith, go talk to some old-time PC folks who played DDO with gamepad and tell them to 'go buy a playstation.' I'll betcha pounds to pies that they will tell you to 'go and grow up.' ^^

and my answer is, no comment
i read ur post and i agree with it on the basis that , the style of game play has changed over the years, and some games dont have all the things we would like to see in them, probably why there are so many nnorpg's out there but, u can only do as much with a game as the programming allows, i like the idea of an auction house and david has his team working on hunderds of changes for 2Moons, but again they can only do as much as the game will allow
and isent thes thread on, "So whos looking forward to this game, i know i am .
anyway where was i going with this i dont know srry
lol
u are taking this shit far too more seriously
i'ma go grab a beer
