Conservatives try to curtail hotel porn

Conservatives are not the party of smaller, less intrusive government.  Is this becoming clear to you who align yourself with these people?  Is this really the folks you want in charge of the country?  It's obvious that they don't believe in American ideals of personal freedom.  They're trying to pick and choose what people are allowed to watch.  And this seems okay to those of you who call yourselves "conservative"? 

I don't want someone telling me what I can and can't watch.  It's none of the governments business.  And it's sickening that conservatives are using the government for social engineering.  That doesn't scare some of you?

    Hmm, I have a hard time getting mad at the issue, because I don't really care.......

    But I mean, do we really need that choice made for us? I think that we can figure out if we want to watch porn or not in hotels and we can press that magical thing called a remote accordingly.

    Come to think of it, aren't there waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more important things they could be doing right now?

    This "curtail hotel porn" is good, in my opinion. Do you know how many CHILDREN go to hotels? Do you want them to flip through channels and find this stuff? Bloody pedophile, you are. 

    "Conservative" means: to conserve the rights and freedoms of all legal citizens, and to ensure the economic and moral growth of the nation... obviously this ONE "incriminating" link is supposed thwart that party and all it's meaning, for the sake of pornography... which is not ethically right. Personally, I'm glad they're getting rid of a bit of it, pornography destroys minds with liberals being the result.

    The economy's going down hill now. Why? Bill Clinton set up NAFTA with China, it's taking it's toll now. Thanks Clinton, for making China a better place to live. Who cares about the mother nation, though... it's just a stupid country that isn't even worth protecting /end sarcasm. Liberals can never grasp the concept of "patriotism" for some reason.

    Of course, liberals never tried ANYthing against people's wishes... never.     Abortion goes against "thou shalt not kill", whether you're religious or not, it's a universal law that applies to everyone. If the mother's health is in danger and wanted the baby but risks her life, or someone was raped, those are exceptions. Regardless of your opinion, an unborn child is alive because it has the potential to live. Why not just practice abstinence until marriage? Oh, right... that's too hard for you lazy liberal baby-kicking wankers.

    What important internal issues are there? The southern flood, China kicking our economy's arse, a horrid tax increase to feed the non-working poor...

    I don't see anything being done about the first two, and "taking from the middle class and giving to the poor" is ridiculous. The liberals and their mansions in Beverly Hills with 3 sets of SUVs are concerned about the poor and environment... but they personally don't want to do anything about it.

    Those are the internal issues and how they're being handled. You know what? They're not.

    And before you go calling someone a liberal, why don't you learn that there are more sophisticated political opinions other than conservative and liberal.

    well, he does have a point. he's pointing out the hypocricy of the
    conservative platform. whether or not he has an agenda is irrelevent. 
    he makes a good point.

    Who in the hell are you to tell me, or anyone for that matter, what is ethically right. I guess the people that are for personal freedoms are not able to conciously make decisions for themselves.

    It won't happen. First off, they are only making a stink of it to help get votes in the election this year, same thing as with gay marriage; its a stunt they pull to get the wacko religious right wingers out to the polls. Second off, they are doing something that harms two industries, the porn industry and the hotel industry, and quite frankly... we all know what whores our elected officials are.

    Yup, these organizations with "family" somewhere in their name that are popping up everywhere are always pulling stunts like this.  They can't stand living in a country where the government is supposed to butt out of personal decision making.  They want to make decisions for us because "they know best.".

    Just a couple of key points I have to make here... For one, I'm not sure if there have been studies on this or not (I'm sure there have, theres studies on everything), but since porn came about in media form, I'm pretty sure pillaging and rape has gone down by a significant percentage. Yes, masturbation helps supress sexual urges...

    Also, if abortion is "murder" because of the chemical reaction that has "the potential to live", can't we take it a step further and outlaw masturbation, because that semen could be used to impregnate a woman? Clearly this is murder too by these ideals. And what about this... Should women be required to get pregnant on their period? Those eggs sure could produce babies, such a waste, murder I say!
